Lila Potter

chapter two

Just after Petunia's over dramatic display of affection the doorbell rang.

"Oh god their here" Just after Petunia said that Dudley's best friend walked in with his mother.

Half an hour later Harry, Lila and Harmony who couldn't believe their luck were in the back of the Dursleys car, they couldn't think of anything else to do with them and they were in the car going to the zoo for the first time in their lives.

However Vernon had taken Harry aside, because he was the oldest so the Dursleys thought that he was responsible, and had threatened his with all of them being stuck in the cupboard for a very long time when Harry tried to defend himself by saying that he wouldn't do anything Vernon wasn't listening and didn't believe him only Lila and Harmony did.

Very strange things often happened around the Potters and the Dursleys never believed them when they said that they didn't make it happen but today nothing can go wrong. It was even worse being with Dudley and his friends out of school because they can't get expelled from home.

While Vernon was driving he kept complaining to Petunia he liked to complain a lot and his favourite things to complain about were people at work, the Potters, the counsel, the Potters, the bank and the Potters.

This morning it was motorbikes "Roaring along like maniacs trying to get someone killed" He muttered loud enough for everyone in the car to hear as a motorbike went past them.

"I had a dream about a motorbike it was flying" Harry whispered to Lila and Harmony.

"Don't tell them that" Lila said as she jerked her head towards the Dursleys " They'll hang you upside your feet" Harmony put in. If their was anything more that the Dursleys hated then the Potters asking questions it was them talking about anything acting in the way that it shouldn't thy seemed to think that they might get some dangerous ideas.

It was a very sunny Saturday and the zoo was crowded with family's, the Dursleys brought Dudley and his friend very large chocolate ice creams at the entrance but just before Petunia and Vernon could take the Potters inside the smiling lady in the truck asked what they want so Vernon grumbling brought the three of them the cheapest thing on the list it wasn't half bad ether.

Harmony told Harry and Lila that one of the gorillas in the zoo looked a lot like Dudley, they had a good laugh with that, until lunch they had a hard time looking at Dudley without bursting out in laughter.

They had, had the best day that they'd had in a long while they should have known that it wasn't going to last. They all had burgers and Dudley's left over ice cream because he wanted more then there was.

After lunch they went to the reptile house it was cold and hark in their with lit windows to look at the animals. Dudley went as quickly as he could to find the biggest snake that he could. When he found it could have crushed Vernon's car very easily But at the moment he didn't seem in the mood he was fast asleep.

Dudley got as close as he could to the snake as possible hands and noise both pressed up against the glass looking at the snake "Make it move" Dudley moaned to his father who wrapped his knuckles against the glass.

"Move" Vernon instructed to the snake but it stayed where it was.

"MOVE!" Dudley yelled at the snake as he banged his big fist against the glass and again it till stayed where it was.

"This is boring" Dudley said as he walked off. The Harry, Lila and Harmony went over to the snake.

"Sorry about him he doesn't understand what it must be like for you" Lila said as Harmony looked at her weirdly because she couldn't understand what she was saying but just brushed it off not knowing that Harry and Lila could understand the snake Harry and Lila didn't even know that they were talking a different language. "Laying there day after day" Harry carried on from her and the snake lifted his head and nodded. "Can you hear us" Harry and Lila whisper shouted to the snake and again the snake nodded.

Harmony then butted in "What on earth are you doing" she whispered to them "Talking to the snake" Harry and Lila said at the same time like it was obvious. "Your weird" she said to them both just dismissing it as a weird twin thing.

"Mommy, Dad come look you wont believe what this snake is doing" Dudley said as he elbowed Harry and because he was taken by surprise fell over all three of the Potters glared at Dudley as he pushed his nose and hands up against the glass to get a better look at the snake who was now also glaring straight at Dudley.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Dudley screeched when the glass disappeared and he over balanced and fell into the snake enclosure the snake snapped playfully at his ankles and then slithered out of the enclosure and went over to Dudley's friend who was so shocked that Dudley had fell in that he couldn't even move when the snake also snapped at his ankles.

Harry, who had gotten up off the floor, along with Lila and Harmony was laughing at Dudley in a snake inclosure and then as he stood up in the cage to get out as he put his hand on the glass that has just reappeared so that he was trapped in that inclosure.

Then the snake that had slithered out said "thanks friends" he said to the Potters as he slithered away with all the people in the snake wing of the park were screaming and running away.

Petunia and Vernon who had come round the corner to see what all the commotion was about then saw Dudley in the snake cage banging on the glass.

Harry, Lila and Harmony where laughing at Dudley in a cage but with there luck Vernon turned to look for them at that moment and saw them laughing. His face went bright purple and they know that they were in trouble, the car ride back was silent apart from Dudley and his friends teeth chattering and shivering.

Vernon waited until Dudley's friend was gone before exploding at Harry and Lila as they stood in front of Harmony protecting her from Vernon. After about 15 minutes he finally stopped and said to them to go to their room.

Harry was waiting till it was later enough to get some food from the fridge for them to eat it was just past 11 when he snuck out of the cupboard and got some drink and left overs (which there weren't many but enough for them). They fell asleep just a few minutes later.
