Lily Potter looked over at her husband who was holding the youngest Potter child, Harmony Alice Potter, James was showing her to Lila and Harry the one year old twins. They were looking at her with an amazed look.
"James its time for them to go to bed" lily said just after James gave her a pleading look that was begging for more time with the kids.
"There is always tomorrow"
They heard the gate of there house open, " It's probably Padfoot" as he gave Lila and Harmony in one hand and Harry in the other looking out the window.
"No, no it's him Lily take the kids and run I'll try and buy you as much as I can! I love you now run" James said then he kissed her and looked at his kids sadly knowing that he would probably never see them again.
Lily followed his orders and ran upstairs barricading herself and the children in their nursery.
The whole house was lit up for a second filled with green light Lily shed a silent tear knowing that her husband was dead.
"Harry, Lila, Harmony mama loves you dada loves you look after each other" just as that last word was spoken the door to the nursery was bursted open.
"Stand aside girl" Voldemort said to her.
"No not my kids" Lily said making her final stand trying to save her children.
Voldemort lit up the house again with another blast of green light. The twins being only one year old didn't know what was going on but they knew that something was wrong and they because of that were crying, holding each others hands in front of their little sister. Harmony was still somehow fast asleep with all that had happened.
The spell that had been used on their parents was cast one final time that night but it rebounded from Harry's head to Lila's wrist and back onto Voldemort who just disappeared.

A tabby cat that had been sitting on the wall of number 4 privet drive all day was still there sitting as stiff as a broom at midnight looking down the street, as if waiting for something to come then someone just appeared at the end of the street his name Albus Dumbledore with slivery long white hair. He started to flick out the lights of the street one by one until the only lights that were left was the tabby cat's eyes down the street.
As he walked down to number 4 and sat down on the same wall that the cat was on. He didn't even look at the cat as he started talking "I should have known it would be you, Professor McGonagall" he said as he smiled at where the cat had been where now sat a women with her hair tied back in a tight bun.
"Are the rumours true Albus" said McGonagall getting straight to the point.
"Yes, they are I'm afraid the good and the bad."
"Lily and James, oh Albus. What about there children are they ok, are they alright"
"Yes they are fine Hagrid is bringing them now" said Dumbledore calmly.
A few seconds pasted till the heard a loud sounding motorbike. The motorbike landed and an extremely large man got off it, he picked up one of the three bundles that sat in his side car, Dumbledore and McGonagall picked up the other two.
All three were placed on the steps of number 4 privet drive and a letter on top of them. The twins holding their hands over their little sister. "Good luck young Potters" Dumbledore whispered.

The children didn't know that in a few hours that they would be woken by their aunt's scream when she went to put the milk out and that they would spent the next few weeks being poked and prodded by their cousin Dudley.
