???'s POV:

My heels clicked across the glossy floors, which were always shiny enough that I could see a little piece of my reflection anytime I trekked across. My red lipstick made my lips smooth and glossy, I particularly liked the slight cherry flavor it gave of.
It was the beginning of a new day, which meant a new opportunity to get things done. I made my way across the hallway, past the neon white lights, and the glass sculptures.

There was a scientist in front of me, bowing slightly as I arrived closer. With the snap of my fingers, the scientist scrambled over to the lever beside her. The cell door clinked open, allowing me a way in. Little light and sound entered through the glass cell, but it didn't make a difference to me. Onyx's body was chained to the wall, his head drooping upon his shoulders. His hair was messy, stained with clumps of blood, and patches of dirt. His lips were parted, as his breaths were labored, and desperate, for any air that would come to him.

I made my way over to him and shook him awake. Onyx gasped as his eyes shot open instantly. His body began trembling, and his hands struggled against the chains.

"I-it's y-you...?" He exclaimed in a frantic whisper. "P-please don't hurt me." His green eyes begged.

He flinched when my hand began playing with his reddish hair and stroking his head softly.

"Oh don't worry dear, I won't hurt you..." I coaxed, "I will destroy you."

Onyx began to whimper, and his teeth began to chatter. "What do you want from me?"

I wiped the tears from his eyes and stroked his cheek, "I only want information, and if you give it to me, then I won't have to hurt you."

"But, if you resist..." I buried my elbow, deep in his rib, watching his face crumble with pain, and hearing a scream erupt from his throat.

The sound that brought the most pleasure and enjoyment to me were cries and screams of pain. The fear and horror etched on his face made me grin. Something about it...I couldn't ponder what, truly brought happiness to me.

"Do you understand?" I whispered, sliding my thumb under his eyelids. His face was ice-cold, but he shivered at my touch.

The boy nodded quickly.

"I want you to tell me everything you know about Zephyr."

Before he spoke, his voice broke into a whimper. "S-she's one of my allies, we fought together sometimes...she's pretty strong."

"I-I don't know anything else, I swear!"

"You did well, Onyx." I smiled reassuringly, "In return, I will allow you to join me. But, not like the others...I wish for you to join at your own free will."

"Me?" He asked. "I don't understand..."

"You have talent, I could use someone like you."

His paled face began to regain some color, and he nodded. Of course, even if he didn't want to join me truly, my offer would grant him freedom that he could not refuse.

I left the cell, commanding the scientists and the guards to let him free. His staggering footsteps followed mine, and he examined me with growing curiosity. "You will wait here," I told him, standing in front of a door.

I slammed the door open, causing hushed whispers and frantic gasps. Anger was boiling down my veins, and frustration had begun building up in my nerves. But I smiled sweetly and stood behind my employees who were clicking away at a computer.

"Did you find her yet?" I demanded. "How the hell did she escape from here?"

Frostbite was drinking a smoothie, smiling childishly as ice began forming on her cup. "I dunno, why are you asking me?"

"It is impossible for her to have survived, even if she did escape," Orion suggested. "She was injured, drugged, and bleeding to death...to my knowledge I believe Frostbite might have stabbed her a few times."

"I created a lovely work of art on that girl's arm." Quill grinned.

"I needed that bitch alive!!!!" I screamed. "You imbeciles will find her, and until I don't have her lifeless corpse in front of me...I will not stop looking for her. She is essential to my plans, and you better pray that she is still breathing. Otherwise, I will not hesitate to dispose of you useless fools."

"What do you need that silly little girl for?" Frostbite sang, swirling around in her chair. "She was fun to play with, but so stubborn...it became less fun..."

"Her powers are essential to our plan," I yelled.

I knocked over the books on the shelves and tossed the glass vials at the ground in spite. I was angry, I wanted to rip the hairs out of my head, wanted to scream into someone's ears, wanted to shoot the hell out of someone and watch the blood come out of their body, and smile as their face crumbled away, and watch their last breaths escape them. I needed that girl. That damn girl is more useful then she realizes. If she was able to break out of my prison, then the weak one must have been me. I needed to get ready, I needed to fulfill my plan. I needed to-

"We will leave at once, Madame Viper." Orion declared. "I'm hoping we can drop by the Celino residence and pay them a few respects."

"No. You will look around the house, and check if Vanya Celino arrives. But, we need her to think she's safe...for now."

"If she's even alive..you mean," Frostbite added.

"Vanya Celino will be brought to me alive and breathing, otherwise I can guarantee you will not be as lucky."
