Coco ~ Hector x Imelda one shots.

Remember Me...

Inspired by this video. It was so heartbreaking that I decided to make a chapter about it. It's so sad that Imelda had suffered as much pain as much as Hector did 🥺😭 it's SOO sad. My heart 🥺😭

"No, pãpa! Please don't leave!", said a young Coco. Hector gave his daughter the biggest hug ever before giving her a small kiss on her forehead. "I'll be back before you know it, coco. I promise". He than gave his wife, Imelda a huge kiss before leaving off with his friend, Ernesto.

It's been weeks, maybe even months he had been sending letters, until suddenly.. he stopped. Imelda, with little Coco were looking at their family photo, just hoping for their missing piece, Héctor to return. Coco started crying softly, remembering her papá's song they used to sing every night..

Imelda saw this and wiped her tears. "It's okay, mija... papá will be back soon... Estoy seguro de que él..." she left her up, throwing the photo down on the floor and twirling Coco around as both laughed and giggled together. "I'm always here when you need me, mija... Para siempre y siempre", she told her, walking to her room, helping her getting dressed into her nightgown and tucking her to bed.

"Mamá..", Coco said before she left the room. "Could you sing papá's song" Imelda paused a little then kneeled down by her bed. "Anything for you, mija"

She closed her eyes and started singing.

Remember me... though I have to say goodbye
Remember me... don't let it make you cry..
for even if I'm far away, I hold you in my heart
I sing a secret song to you each night.. we are apart

Coco smiled as her mamá gave her a kiss on her forehead

Remember me... though I have to travel far
Remember me... each time you hear a sad guitar..

Coco sat up and started singing along with her mamá

Know that I'm with you, the only way that I could be...
until you're in my arms again..
remember... me...

Imelda tucked her back in, kissing her cheek as Coco fell asleep. "Buenas noches, mija", she said before leaving the door, smiling at her little niña but that faded however, as she remembered her husband who left on a business trip for fame months ago. Small tears filled her eyes as she walked through the living room, hearing a soft crack sound.

Imelda looked down to see what she stepped on, picked it up and saw the photo of all three of them, herself, Coco, and Héctor as a family.. more tears filled her eyes, standing back up, wiping her tears which were filled with sadness and anger then took the photo out of its frame.

Imelda took a look at it for a brief moment than out of anger, ripped Héctor's face off the photo, tossing it on the floor near Coco's room then put the photo back in its frame and went to bed for the night, not realizing her husband died that same night.
