A LITTLE GIRL

Once upon a time,

There was a little girl

She loved to hear the bells chime

And loved to watch the leaves twirl

She laughed and smiled

Every day of the week

She was a flower child

That loved to speak

But little did she know that one day

All of that happiness would fade away

Now the little girl is older

She knows that life isn't all that fun

She has given everyone a cold shoulder

And life has made her want to run

She stays awake at night,

Filling the floor with tears

Nothing gives her delight

And she wants to disappear

She screamed and cried,

Wanting to die

And that feeling is still amplified

But now she knows why

The little girl is still little

Which is why no one believes

And make her problems belittled

Making her wear longer sleaves

The little girl suffered in silence for so long,

Until one night where her problems made her belong

Now the little girl has a friend,

Someone that understands

They walk together and long to end

This ongoing battle while holding hands

Once upon a time,

There was an older girl

She didn't like it when the bells would chime,

But she knew she could make her feelings twirl
