"Are you ready?" Goku asked, standing in a fighting stance.
Maka stood in her own stance. "Whenever you are!"
"Okay!" Goku shouted.
Maka raised up her ki up tremendously. It went so high up so fast, Goku gasped.
She charged then.
Maka brought her fist to Goku's stomach then a swift kick in the ribs and another kick in the jaw.
Goku fell back, loosing his footing.
"Whoa! I thought you were kidding, but wow! What strength!" Goku smirked. "Looks like I gotta give it another knotch!"
Goku raised his ki, the wind around him swishing up. Suddenly, his hair turned golden blond. His eyes turned teal.
Maka gasped. "You are a Super Saiyan! I knew it!" Her expression changed. "Show me what you got!" She charged at him, flying quickly.
****
"Incredible." Vegeta muttered, watching the two fight. The fact that Kakarot already had to go to Super Saiyan really pissed Vegeta off. The fight barely started and he's already giving off a lot of power!
But Vegeta didn't linger on that. It was Maka. She was unbelievably strong. For being human, it seemed impossible for Maka to reach that level of power.
Unless...
Vegeta gasped. He suddenly remembered something fron when he was younger.
When he was a young boy, living in a palace with the rest of his family, Vegeta was as interested into fighting as a Saiyan should be. But he wanted to be involved with all of the conversations with the adults.
He was the heir to the throne, he should know this stuff, he thought.
So, he would listen-in on the conversations his father would have with his colleagues.
He remembered one conversation they were having one day."Have the Nicdorian Prince made up his mind yet?" King Vegeta asked.
"No, sir. He is still looking for his Masica." One of his colleagues, Ront, said.
"What is taking him so long? He should've chosen one already! The longer he takes, the more Saiyans the Nicdorians kills!'
"Sir, they're very uh... picky about their Masicas. His first one was killed off, remember?" Another colleague, Daqwin, admitted.
"I just don't understand why it takes them so long to choose just one woman from the entire galaxy to marry! Couldn't the Masica just be actually be from Nicdoria, instead of coming here?!" Vegeta heard a loud thud, as if something slammed against the table.
"King Vegeta, if I may say something..." Ront spoke up. "To them, their Masica is like a goddess in most ways, being the bridge to the spiritual world. They believe that the Masica must be absolutely perfect to their standards. They're a very patient race. It takes them a very long time to choose their future queen."
"I DON'T CARE!" The King shouted. There was a louder thud then. "THE ONLY THING I WANT NOW IS THEM GONE!"
The King's colleagues were very patient too.
"Sir, we're trying everything. The only way they'll leave if we can give them a Masica." Daqwin said calmly.
"But we can't! Why can't we just send them to Earth or something?!" The King asked, obviously frustrated.
"They don't like humans," Rant said plainly. "They think humans aren't spiritual and they think they'll loose their purity."
"Meaning?"
"They think that if they find a suitable human female to be Masica, they believe that she'll turn spoiled after being queen and loose the goodness and purity of a kind heart." Rant explained.
"They also made it law that the Masica could not be a human." Daqwin added.
Vegeta shook the memory away. It explained everything though.
Either the law has changed over the years or Maka isn't human. But she mentioned that she will be the first Masica to have human blood.
Unless she wasn't entirely human.
"Vegeta?" Bulma asked.
It took him a moment to realize that she was right next to him.
"What now, woman?" He muttered, scowling.
"Who do you think will win this one? It looks like Maka's actually kicked butt out there." She pointed out.
Vegeta then saw that the two moved the battle way up in the air, at least thirty feet up. Goku was at Super Saiyan 2 and Maka looked wounded up.
Goku had a lot of wounds on him already. This being a friendly spar, this has gotten a little too far.
Maka had some open wounds, but they didn't look as bad as Goku's.
They were still going at each other fiercely."Kakarot's just going easy on her. Trust me, if she is actually as strong as she says she is then maybe he'll go harder." Vegeta grunted.
"Have you not been watching? Maka's really kicking his butt! Look!" She pointed up to them.
As if on cue, Maka kicked Goku so hard, he fell from where he stood and landed on the ground hard.
After a second from laying there, his hair faded back to black.Vegeta gasped. "N-No way!"
Maka flew down to where Goku had landed. "You okay?" She asked, offering her hand to help him up.
Goku took her hand and stood up. "Never been better, Maka. Great job." He said, his voice weak.
"You look terrible! Come on, let's get you inside!"
"Maka, I'm fine... really... ugh.." his eyes closed and he swayed on the spot, falling forwards.
"Oh no, Goku!!" Maka tried to catch him, but lost her grip. Goku landed ontop of her with a THUD.
"Kakarot!!" Vegeta gasped.
"Oh no, his injuries are more worst then I thought!" Bulma said, running towards them.
"Dad!" Goten screamed.
Vegeta thought of something as he watched Goku being carried inside.
What if that friendly battle, was Maka trying harder then she was supposed to?
