I heard the door open as Patton skipped into the room. I rose up from my bed and stared at him in confusion. "Patton, it's nearly 3:30, what are you doing up?" I asked in concern.
"Oh, I was just giving the Isle kiddos some cookies!~" Patton giggled and flopped onto his own bed. We shared a room, though I was the only one that kept things tidy. Patton's side of the room was an absolute mess.
I rolled my eyes and crisscrossed my legs. "Why? They won't appreciate it." I mumbled.
Patton stared at me as if I had just said twenty seven curse words in a row. "Roman!" He huffed. "I'll have you know that they very much appreciated it! Virgil especially did! Also, we may have to expand the library." He informed and laughed nervously.
"...why?" I asked in confusion, wondering why on earth we would need a bigger library.
Patton had a small laughing fit before taking a deep breath. "L-Logan read, like, 60 books." He declared before laughing hysterically. I stared in pure disbelief.
"...no, no way someone would be able to do that..." I murmured. "Their brain would explode..."
"Well, he did it!" Patton smiled. "Now go back to sleep, I still got some work to do."
I scoffed and hopped off my bed. "No, you haven't slept at all tonight. Take a break, I'll worry about your work." I huffed and crossed my arms.
"Awh, kiddo, you don't have to..." Patton murmured worriedly, getting up as well.
I walked over and shoved him onto his bed. "Go. To. Bed." I demanded. Patton sighed and got under his covers. I smiled at the cooperation and went over to his desk, which was covered with papers and dirty mugs. This will take a while...

I saw light starting to peek into the room from behind the curtains. I looked up from my book and saw Virgil. He had passed out after eating all the cookies Patton had brought. I looked back down and finished reading the last page of the book before closing it. "And that was the last one..." I murmured and got up, starting to gather up the books. I had grabbed two large tote bags to carry all the books and was putting them back in there. I wonder if we'd have class today. Patton did give us schedules after the tour, after all. I need some coffee.
I got up and started to dig around the room, eventually finding the schedules. I put mine in the tote bag and placed Virgil's on his nightstand. After a few moments of just checking up on things around the room, I walked out into the hallway and followed the path I had taken to the library last night.
As soon as I walked in, the librarian, who was there setting up for the morning, stared at me.
"Back again?" The librarian asked curiously.
I nodded. "Yes, I'm here to return most of the books." I informed calnky.
The librarian stared at me wide eyed. "Wait, seriously?" She asked. I nodded again. "...well, what books are you keeping?"
I dug through the bags and pulled out a few books, mostly the ones for my classes but the others were just ones I enjoyed. I put the books on the counter and took my schedule out of the bags before handing them to the librarian. "Can I also have an extra copy of a few books? It's for my friend, we share our classes and he's too lazy to get his own books..." I murmured.
The librarian smiled at me. At least I was on her good side. She put the tote bags under the counter, most likely to put up later. "Of course, you know where the books you need are. I'll grab another bag for the books you want to keep." She informed. I nodded and walked off to fetch more books for Virgil. I knew he'd probably never read them, but hey, might as well get them anyway.
After a few minutes, I returned to the counter with the books. As the librarian checked them out for me, I put the other books in the bag she had fetched for me. It was strange. Everyone here was so nice...the librarian back on the Isle was mad as hell whenever I walked in because he knew that I was about to clear out his entire library for the tenth time that year. The librarian gave me a soft smile and put the books she checked out in the bag.
"There you go, young man." She hummed out. "You know, if you can read that quick, you should try out for some of the book clubs and reading competitions. Auradon has quite a few of them." She suggested.
I paused and grabbed the bag, thinking for a moment. "...hm, I'll think about it." I informed. "See you soon, miss." I turned and walked off.
The librarian waved after me. "I'm sure I will!" She joked, making me smile slightly.

Eh. Not a big fan of this chapter. Anyway, yeah, I'm back in business! Woohoo!!! I'm working on a lot of stuff, though, so it'll take a while for updates. I'm working on an UnderTale map on MineCraft, I'm preparing for school coming up, I'm trying to work up my YouTube channel (which I will not state at this moment), writing these stories, and I still have to make room for me time. Basically, I'm fuckin crushed- anyway, yeah, I'll stop rambling... thanks for the support, bois!
