The guy's P.O.V

After washing the dishes I head upstairs to the room I gave the kid. Oh? Are they asleep? I put my hand on his side, He must have freaked out because he spun his head around. Although he started to calm down after realizing it was me. I'm glad I can be something good in his life.  I mean he did look rather excited that I was there. "Sorry did I wake you?" they were very quiet when they said no but must be tired can't blame the kid I'm tired too. "good, I know kids like books to help them sleep so..." he nodded then moved around to point his body in my direction. I can't help but smile at this and start reading him the story. Once I finished I put the book down, I then moved my torso in his direction and put my left leg on the bed. I then lay atop of him for a while trying to do some sort of hug. I then get up and walk to the door. "Good night and sweet dreams," I say trying to sound as nice as possible so he understands that I'm not a bad guy. I hop in my room and lay on my bed slowly drifting off to sleep. Then I hear a scream "Rotten kid!" Fucking hell I should DROWN the bitch! I hope he's alright. I rush to his room and see him sweating and thrashing. I walk over to his bed and sit down beside him. I put my hand on his chest feeling his heart pounding as if its about to jump out at any second. He shot up, which gave me quite a shock. "Are you alright? You're sweating a lot." I put my other hand on his face to try to calm him down; his hair was sticking to his face so I push it back. It's so sticky. I move my face close to his and whisper in his ear as to not alarm him. "you were screaming, did you have a nightmare?"  He shivered. Am I cold? He looked uncomfortable, but how? I'm being nice. He moves away from me hitting the wall. It gave me quite a shock. I can't have him scared of me. I'll try to calm him down by bringing him to my room.
