'This is it. This will be the day I give Oikawa my homemade Milk bread.'

"(y/n)! Why are you glaring at the milk bread?" Your mother asks. Watching you worriedly from the kitchen door.

"Huh?" You look up. Pushing your glasses up simultaneously. Not even realizing that you were glaring.

"You look like you're going to pulverize that bread for putting your online game off." She jokingly speaks. Earning an eye roll from you.

"Well I'm glad you understand the severity of it!" You joke back. Getting off the couch and grabbing your school bag. Carefully holding the milk bread that was folded neatly in brown food wrap. Your mother had known about your gift that you had wanted to give Oikawa-san ever since the start of junior high. Always teasing you about how you liked him when it was definitely not like that!

You just admired him. Alot.

You buckled your seat belt and off your mother went to drop you off at school.

You arrived a few minutes before the bell rang, just enough time to find Oikawa-san in his usual spot so you could (try) and give him his gift.

Scanning through the tall trees and empty tables. You spot Oikawa-san with a few of his friends. Knowing very well after numerous tries that it's nearly impossible to get him alone.

You sucked in a sharp breath. Glancing at your mother that always stayed behind to see if you would do it. It aggravated you, but it was your mother after all.

She gave you a thumbs up and a wide grin before shoeing you forward with the flick of her hands.

You exhaled in determination. Your shoulders bouncing slightly acting as a small jumpstart with your deep, short, black hair waving with the wind. You took your first step and then the next. Followed by another and another until you were walking towards him and his friends. None of them had noticed you yet, which was good. The less attention, the better.

You were just a few more steps away from them. Closer than you had ever gotten to giving him your gift. 'This is it, I'm finally going to give Oikawa-san my gift!'

"Oikawa-senpai!" Two girls jogged over to Oikawa and his friends. Easily reaching them before you. At the sight of them you had immediately belined to go back. Way too anxious and shy to give Oikawa his gift with girls there to.

You sulkingly glanced at your mother, who only mouthed an 'it's okay' before waving and heading to work.

You huffed out your disappointment. Hating how shy you were towards Oikawa. To anyone really. Except for your best friends Sakura and Yagi. Who would most likely be eating the Milk bread today. Again.

"I guess another time then..."

Few days later

'Okay, I got this. I totally got this! Just give him the bread and walk away! No No... say your thank you first and THEN walk away.'

It always took you a few days to regain your confidence to give Oikawa his gift.

You were fidgeting absentmindedly at the brown strings that were neatly
wrapped around the parcel. Waiting patiently outside of Oikawas classroom for the bell to ring so you could hand him the parcel straight away. You had told your teacher that you needed the rest room and god knows how gut wrenched you already felt for lying to your superior, but you had to get this done. The school year was nearing it's end and you needed Oikawa to know how much you appreciated him.
