*WARNING*
*THIS CHAPTER DEPICTS ACTS OF VIOLENCE, BLOOD, AND DEATH. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK*I drag myself into my house and fling the door shut behind me on my way to flopping onto the couch with an exhausted groan. It felt like all I did was run boxes around all day and my entire body was screaming at me to work out more often so it doesn't feel this way again!
At some point I must have drifted off to sleep because when I came to it was very dark and my front door was open. My brows knit together in confusion, certain that I did, in fact, shut the door. I pull myself off the cushions and onto my feet as I stretch and yawn.
I shrug and shut the door, locking it. I heard a thud upstairs and my breath caught in my throat. My body clenched with fear as I crept towards the kitchen stopping to grab a knife from the counter clutching it in my hand like it was my one and only lifefine. I swallow as my heart pounded in my chest and make my way to the stairs climbing them with my back against the wall.
Halfway up I placed my foot on the stair and the loose board squeaked under the pressure making me stop and listen for any more noise. Hearing nothing I continued upwards checking behind me to make sure I wasn't being followed. Making it to the top I looked to the left and right seeing no one and I crept towards my bedroom seeing the door cracked open.
I take a shaky breath and push the door slightly feeling it hit something in it's path. I peek at what I can see and see the window open and a breeze blowing in bringing the iron smell of blood to my nose turning my stomach. I stopped and clasped my hand over my face to quiet my breathing and waited to hear anything once again after what felt like an eternity I shoulder forward into the room tripping over the leg in the floor falling into a sticky, slickness soaking into the carpet, coating my arms and hands making me drop the knife and cutting my thigh causing me to cry out.
Tears start to prick at my eyes as I feel around for my traitorous weapon. My hand comes across a leg near me and I follow it to a torso and equally soaked shirt. Reaching farther I feel cold skin under my hands and recoil in horror as an unholy scream rips from my throat.

I sat for what felt like even more of an eternity until I felt hands pulling me up out of the pool of blood I had slipped into.
"Julia?" I heard a familiar voice call in my ear once I was back in the hallway. Getting no answer the voice moved in front of me and hands grasped my face making me look in his eyes. Ginsen shook me a little.
"Julia!" My eyes focused on his and he ran one hand through my hair, "There you are. Are you okay?"
He started looking over my body to see if I was hurt. Finding the cut on my thigh he touched it causing a wave of pain through me and I yelped out. I saw his jaw clench as he started to stand up, but I gripped onto his arm feeling my body shiver.
"Please don't leave me." I croaked out through my desert dry throat.
He pet my head shushing me, "It's ok, but I have to go get something to put on your leg to stop the bleeding."Nodding I relented and loosened my grip watching him back into the bathroom, cut on a light, and grab a towel. He came back kneeling by me wrapping it around my thigh tieing it tightly getting a hiss from me. I leaned my head back against the wall as he stood and slipped into the room he had pulled me out of.
He had turned the light on and I could se him standing over the lifeless man on my floor before he disappeared in the direction of the window. Slowly he came back out cutting out the light and shutting the door. Crouching in front of me he breathed out as I lifted my head.
"Is it....?" I asked hesitantly.
"No. It's not him." He shook his head slowly with his brows knitting together in confusion, "How well did you know him? Like ACTUALLY know him?"
I give him an equally confused look.
"He's my fiance and we've lived together for a year... I'd say I know him pretty well. Why?"
"No reason. I can't leave you by yourself in this situation." He surveyed me and then proceeded to pick me up bridal style and carry me back to his house.******************
