Yamaguchi Tadashi; the owner of a cozy, aesthetically pleasing coffee shop. For him everyday way the same: Wake up, get ready, bake fresh treats, brew the coffee, open, deal with customers, close, clean, and finally rest.
However, he decided it was time to get some help around the place. It was popular among University students because it supplied a pleasing atmosphere with good, affordable coffee. Since the shop was gathering popularity, he put up a notice in the large front window facing the street. The sign explained that in exchange for working part-time, he will allow you to live in a vacant studio apartment above the shop.
With the perfect location, benefits, and the bonus of living rent free; it didn't take long for people to ask about the position. Yamaguchi knew that it would be a pain to choose only one person, and a pain it was.
He sat at his messy desk, letting out a tired sigh. His room consisted of a full bed, a small bedside table, a book shelf filled with many amazing books, his disorganized desk, and pictures hanging all around the room. He had some plants here and there along with fairy lights to add a little excitement. One more thing was a window facing the street, dark blue curtains on either side. Another plus of the deal was getting a similar view to his: the dark outline of a bigger city and the sun setting behind it.
After staring out the window for who know how long, his thoughts were interrupted by a phone call. Yamaguchi peeked over at the caller ID, picking up when he read the contact. The caller was in fact, Hinata Shoyo. Hinata was a high school friend who played for their old school's volleyball team. He never played on the team but by himself sometimes just to pass time.
Hinata:
YAMAGUCHI I HAVE TO ASK YOU SOMETHING IMPORTANT!!Yamaguchi:
H-HINATA WHAT IS IT??Hinata:
WELL, I was hoping you could consider a specific person for that part-time request.. I owed him a huge favor. I don't wanna say what it was because it was slightly embarrassing for me and Kageyama.Yamaguchi:
*Sigh* Alright then, but at some point you have to tell me. What's his name?
Hinata:
YES! I knew I could count on you! His name is Tsukishima Kei, and he has already applied for the position. Although if you do hire him be careful because he is a HUGE meanie. However also a hard worker and he really needs this position.Yamaguchi:
Don't worry, I am sure he won't be too bad. But thanks for the suggestion, I will keep him in mind. Honestly I have been struggling with this for a while. Thank you Hinata, I will look over his application right now.
Hinata:
Trust me, after you see him you will keep him in mind for a while.Hinata laughed a bit to himself a bit before continuing
Hinata:
Anyway, thank you again Yamaguchi. I owe ya one! Bye bye~!After Hinata's little comment Yamaguchi had a small tint of pink "How could he say that so easily? I am looking for a worker not a boyfriend-" he cut himself off when he found the person Hinata had mentioned. Yamaguchi only got more embarrassed with Hinata's words echoing in the back of his head.
Reading the application, he decided that even without Hinata's suggestion; Tsukishima seemed to be among the best choices. Yamaguchi put down the paper on his desk away from the others, just to be some what organized. He decided to call in the morning when this 'Tsukishima Kei' person would probably be asleep.
Before falling asleep, Yamaguchi checked the time '1:30 a.m.? I was up later than I thought.. well tomorrow I will have to call everyone and inform them they didn't get the job...yaaay' he thought getting comfy on his bed ' "...you will keep him in mind for a while.."' he recalled Hinata's words. Yamaguchi just buried his face deeper into his pillow, trying and successfully falling into a deep; comfortable sleep.
