Another World [Barb x Reader]

Chapter 1

The Troll Kingdom has been peaceful and harmonious over the past six months together. Although there were problems, they've always worked it out in the end.

Earlier today, Queen Barb of the Hard Rock Trolls, came to Pop Village to discuss matters that have been happening more and more recently. This has been happening to the other trolls to and they needed to stop it.

"I am so glad all of you could make it today!" Poppy started the meeting with a cheerful attitude, as always.

"We too are glad. But we need to discuss the matter at hand." Queen Essence stated the other leaders agreed.

"Portals have been appearing all over the place and it's causing us rock trolls to go frustrated!" Barb said with clear annoyance.

The meeting went on till it was over. The troll leaders got up to leave, but Poppy suggested they all hang out for a little while since it has been a long time since they've hung out. They all agreed since they needed a break from all the royal duties.

"That was nice. But if you don't mind, I need to head out now. See ya'll next time!" Delta Dawn waved as she walked away. King Quincy and Queen Essence said their goodbyes next, then Trollzart and Trollex came next. Barb came last.

"See ya pops!" "Until next time Barb!" Poppy waved Barb goodbye.

Poppy then went to hang out with her best friend, Branch. "Hey Poppy! So how did the meeting go?" Branch greeted Poppy first.

"It went well. We discussed the recent problem. It's been happening a lot more recently"

"Well, we need to find out what's that all about before it causes a panic" "Don't worry too much Branch! Nothing bad will happen! You'll see." Poppy stated with full confidence. Branch just gave her a look that said 'really?'

"Poppy! Something bad just happened!" Guy Diamond exclaimed. Branch gave Poppy a look which said 'See?'. "Guy Diamond! What's wrong?"

"My baby got sucked into one of the portals! And now he can't get back!" He exploded into glittering tears after explaining what had happened.

"Don't worry GD, We'll get Tiny back" She grabbed Branches (see what I did there?) hand and rushed to the closest nation; Rock. They hurried to get help from the Queen of Rock. Before they left on the blimp, Poppy asked her dad to watch the village while she was gone.

"Do you think Tiny Diamond is okay?" "I know he'll be okay! We gotta stay positive Branch!" She shook him by the shoulders as she said this. "I mean, why wouldn't he be?" "I have more than 30 reasons."

They were near, but something didn't feel right to them. They passed the mountains only to find a huge crowd gathered around a certain Queen. They quickly landed their blimp and headed to Barb. "Queen Barb! We can't find Carol anywhere!" Whoa. Who knew Carol had so many friends?

"Barb! What happened?" " I don't know! One moment we were just hanging then BAM Carol got sucked into one of the portals! We tried looking for her everywhere!"

Poppy explained that the same thing happened to Tiny just before they got here. They went up and started investigating. Barb showed them where she last hung out with Carol, and it turns out she disappeared when they were just about to head home. Coincidentally, that was also the story Guy told Branch before they left to get Barb.

Branch suggested that the should head to King Quincy and Queen Essence to ask them if something similar had happened. They got there, but they found Prince D and Cooper looking worried. "Poppy! Branch! My Mom and Dad got swallowed by a freaky-looking wormhole! You gotta save them!" "Don't worry guys, I promise we'll get them all back."

"I don't know what to do!" Poppy paced back and forth as she, Branch, and Barb brainstormed for ideas. "What if we jumped after them?"

Barb and Branch looked at Poppy with widened eyes looking at her like she was crazy. (Maybe she was?)

"Then what? We don't know what's even there. How will we get back?" "We won't know if we don't try?"

Branch tried to protest but nothing came out. He sigh and reluctantly agreed. Barb, knowing it was a bad idea, didn't argue. I mean, what other choices did they have right? So they went off to find a portal they could get through.

After hours of searching, nothing appeared. They decided to call it a day and continue the search tomorrow.

Barb was heading back to her castle when she got sucked into one of the portals. She tried to call for help but nothing came out.

The portal closed, and she didn't know where she was headed, but she bets it was somewhere bad.
