"Did you really have to detain him?"
"It was necessary, he's a potential threat."
I rolled my eyes at Mark's words and sat down in the chair situated in front of his desk. As soon as I found out who the stranger was, Harry Styles the man I was looking for (are you kidding me?), I took him to come with me to Mark's office. He just nodded and walked along with me.
But of course Mark, the dumbass he is, decided to handcuff Harry and send him away with two other men. I thought it was ridiculously unnecessary but apparently Mark thought it was "the best and safest option" which I completely disagreed with. Although I was expecting Mark to try and tackle Harry, that would've been pretty funny.
"So tell me again what happened." Mark ran his fingers through his hair, obviously anxious about the events that had taken place.
"I told you," I sighed. "I was sitting there smoking and we talked a little and he sat down and I introduced myself."
"Then what happened?" Mark interrupted.
"I wasn't done." I snapped, glaring at him. "And then he introduced himself and said his name was Harry Styles which you know is the guy I wanted brought in. So of course I brought him in here because I thought you might actually be able to help."
He ignored the last part.
"Why would he just walk in here?"
"I don't know Mark, why would a potentially wanted man walk into a government building?" I asked rhetorically.
I was beyond done with Mark at the moment. He could've ruined my chances to get any information from Harry. I don't even know why I continued to work with him.
"Ronnie-"
"I'm going to talk to Harry." I announced before leaving Mark's office and making my way to where Harry was being held.
I was the only one walking through the hallway, which struck me as odd. It was usually bustling with people moving between offices. They were probably clustered in the break room discussing Harry and what the hell he was even doing here. It's not everyday that you had a person like him walking into a government building.
"Let me in to see him." I commanded as I reached the two guards stationed in front of the small holding room.
They nodded and slowly backed away from the door, letting me in. Harry sat in a silver chair facing the barren walls of the room. He looked up at me and smiled as soon as I entered.
He didn't look at all like a man that had disappeared. He looked clean, and well dressed and well fed, not that I was expecting any less. Harry just looked like a normal man, somebody you'd see while walking down the street.
"Hello Ronnie." He greeted.
"Hi Harry." I said, closing the door behind me where the guards resumed their location.
"How are you today?"
"Fantastic." I snapped sarcastically.
He looked at me quizzically before leaning back in his metal chair. I had to admit that Harry was quite nice looking, with that tousled brown hair and forest green eyes that seemed to follow every single detail.
"Not the best, huh?" He noted. "I understand that."
"Yeah, I'm guessing you obviously would."
Harry laughed softly, "I like your voice."
"Thank you..." It was an odd compliment sure enough it seemed slightly endearing.
"Your voice is just very sarcastic and it's refreshing to hear because nobody I've been around is like you."
