23: Promise.

The story continues with Sanskaar entering the hospital with Swara in his arms.(hope u remember that Swara was injured in the last chapter).

San:Doctor!.. Doctor...!!

A nurse came there.

Nur:Yes sir,how may I help u?

San:I want a doctor now!

Nur:Sir may I know the discomfort of the patient.

San:Hell! I just need a doctor over here. Don't u have eyes? Can't u see she is not able to walk. Just go bring a doctor first. Go!!(angrily)

The nurse was afraid from his talks and went away from there. While Sanskaar made Swara sit on a nearby bench.

Swara was shocked seeing this side of Sanskaar. She was always introduced to the funny,jovial Sanskaar Maheshwari but this Sanskaar was something she never expected. He was literally shouting on the hospital staff without any reason.

Swa:Sanskaar it's okay, I mean calm down. Why are u getting so angry?

San:It's non of ur business Swara. It would be better if u keep quiet right now. I really don't want to say something which I'll regret later. So please!!(In a no-nonsense-tone)

Swara kept quiet listening his slow but scary voice. It was better to be on the safer side.

The Doctor came and Swara was taken inside the ward for check up.

Inside the ward

Doc(while checking Swara's ankle): hmm,its a sprain. It will get heeled in a couple of days but as u r feeling much pain,I'll prescribe a pain killer. Take it in case if any severe pain starts. For now it's okay.

Swara nodded.

San:But Doctor she wasn't able to walk or even get up from her place. Are u sure there isn't any need to run a X-ray?

Doc:It's common Mr. Maheshwari. It's nothing much. Swara try walking now.

Swara got up slowly and tried walking. She took a few steps but felt pain. Still she was able to walk.

Doc:Okay! U will able to walk by the evening. Till then don't give much stress to ur foot.

San:Thank you,Doctor.

Sanskaar shaked hands with the doctor and again took Swara in his arms.

Swara was a bit amused due to his sudden actions.

Swa(whisper):Sanskaar it's fine. I'll walk now.

Sanskaar just gave her a death glare which was sufficient enough to shut Swara's mouth. He took her out of the hospital and made her sit in the car.

He came and sat on the passenger seat.Swara tried talking to him but he kept ignoring her.Anger and concern was clearly evident in his brown eyes.

Swa:Sanskaar,now enough! Why the hell are u ignoring me?I am talking something and u r just driving without giving any heed to my talks.

Sanskaar stopped the car with a jerk in the corner of the road.*The road was almost isolated*

San:Why am I supposed to listen to u when u don't give a damn to my words! Just tell me! Do u listen to me? Answer me dammit!(shouts angrily)

Swara flinched by his voice.

San:I told u to do a very simple thing that is to take of your own self but u can't even do that. First of all u don't have ur meals on time. Secondly u go unconscious in the office and above that even after this much u have to work and now u just almost broke ur ankle. Is this some kind of joke going on? What am I supposed to do after all this stunts of yours? Now why are u silent?

Swara just looked down feeling guilty. Tears where threatening to come out of her eyes.

Silence prevailed between them for a few minutes. Sanskaar took a deep breath trying to calm himself. While Swara was silently crying bowing her head down.

Finally after calming himself he softly took her hands in his.

San(lovingly):Swara.... pls don't cry. I am so sorry. Pls mat ro.

Swara still didn't gave any reply.

San(sighed):look at me.. pls? (She looked at him with teary eyes. He cupped her face in his both hands and continued) Swara u know how much important u r to me. I can't see u in pain. In a very short span of time u have become a very important part of my life. Do u even know how I felt when I heard ur scream from the other side? Hmm? Pls don't do like this. Pls take care of urself.

Swa(slowly):S..sorry!

San:I don't need ur sorry Swara. I want a promise from u.

Swa:what promise?

San:I want a promise that u won't hurt urself in any way. Promise me to take care of urself to the fullest. Promise me too be with me forever. Promise me that u will be there with me no matter what problem comes. I just need u beside me in every situation,every single second. Will you?

Swara held his hands which were cupping her cheeks and intertwined their pinkyfingers:promise! Forever and till eternity.

He smiled and took her in a loving hug,a tight one just to feel her near himself. Always and forever....
