Abiola's POV

"Can't you just wait for some hours more?" I asked Tobi helping Tope fold her clothes. I take back what I said about him being a good big brother, he's just so annoying. It was Sunday and he had come to pick her up. My mom isn't home, if not, he would have gone back home without her.

"No, I have somewhere to be and something to do." He replied not sparing me a glance. I glared at him since he wasn't looking and just then, he looked up. He caught me again. "You can stop glaring at me now." He added.

"You said you have somewhere to be, why can't she just stay, you can pick her up when you're done?" I asked.

"You just like arguing. I said no, she coming with me." I gave up asking and slumped on the chair, before sitting down properly, like the adult I am.

We finished folding her clothes for her and she was set to leave. She gave me a look saying, 'save me'. I shrugged my shoulders. I couldn't do anything, considering Tobi and I aren't anything close to friends. So I couldn't help her. We hugged while Tobi took her bag to his car. She collected my number and didn't show me what she saved it as, making me laugh.

"If you see what I used to save it, you'll delete it and my brother would kill me." I looked at her.

"What did you use?" Knowing she won't tell me with the look on her face, I walked away.

After some minutes, they were a settled to go. I leaned on the car window, thank God he used his car.

"You know, I thought you were a good big brother, but you're just annoying. She has been the younger sibling I never had and you're taking her away. Just like that." I said, thinking he would have. A change of heart, I forgot I was speaking to a robot.

"Are you done?" Ouch!

"Yes!" I moved back, before going back again. "Ok, when will she come again? This time she'll stay longer." I said the last part with a tone of finality. As if, if he said no, there's something I could do.

"We'll see about that." I pecked Tope on the cheek and waved as he pulled out of the main gate. He likes acting as if he's her father. Well technically, he is. But still.

Whenever he's around me, I just don't know what stupid feeling that keeps on stirring around and inside me. It's becoming annoying. I can't definitely tell Konyii, the bad minded girl would think something else.

Except it is something else.

I walked back inside and remembered my dad was coming back today. It's been long his princess cooked for him. I remember the first time I cooked, I was 13. It was horrible, terrible, horrific in fact.

FLASHBACK

"Mummy don't come to the kitchen, if you do, I'll lock you in your room. Daddy you too." What should I cook? I rummaged through the drawers and cupboards in the kitchen. Then I decided to cook my dad's favorite. Jollof rice.

I remember my mom always using tomatoes and peppers. So I opened the refrigerator for vegetables and brought it out.

"What are you doing?" Kiki, my favorite out of the rest asked, scaring me.

"I want to make daddy's favorite." I stood crossing my hands.

"Do you even know how to boil water?" She asked mocking me.

"Kiki, stop. I'm going to prove everyone wrong today, you know mummy and daddy doesn't let me in the kitchen." She nodded her head.

"Let me help you then."
