~beep, beep~ ..the phone alarm rings

My phone alarm seems useless since, I kinda woke up a minute early before it goes off.

<I sit up and turned off the alarm>

And as usual, no messages inbox, I have no choice to browse the net for current updates..

"Hmm.. the weather, new albums release dates, games, consoles.. oh what's this?"

<I scroll down my phone and a news article caught my attention>

|SCIENTISTS SAYS AND BELIEVES THAT HUMANS AND HUMANOIDS COULD CO-EXISTS IN NEAR FUTURE|

"They got to be kidding.. I'd much rather believe normies could date their idols or life on mars."

<I looked at a photo of my parents>

Speaking of, my parents are astronauts and went on a 6-month space mission.. and yet I am an only child, I live here all alone in our house.. But no worries, I am taught to be independent since they're astronauts and all with their space missions and other stuff..

A university nerd who lives alone and has astronauts for parents.. Though, I'm not lonely, but if I have girlfriend it would be quite different. Aigoo, I should stop or I'll get carried away.

<Dressed and geared up, I stepped out of my house, on my way to the university, I looked around me and see a lot of couples surrounds me>

They look so madly in love, it makes me want to puke. Nah, just kidding, am just bitter I don't have someone. Well I guess it is also my fault that I can't hold casual conversation with girls.

"Hmm.. I think I'm allergic to girls"

LOL, I don't think so, I'm just born an introvert.

<I looked at a couple walking side to side as they look at each other>

There goes another one of my flaws. I can't do that.. the eye contact thingy, it's so troublesome for me.

<I looked away and walked hurriedly to overtake the couple>

Since my home is just a walking distance away from the university, I stopped at a convenient store to grab some food because I kinda skipped breakfast on my way here.

As I order my meal, somebody taps my back

"...Young man, please help me, I'm starving."

As an immediate reaction, I hold my sandwich for dear life.

"Well umm.. err I got spare change.", I said

He looks at me with pitiful eyes. clutching his stomach as if would pass out.

I don't know what came in to my mind, and I just hand him my sandwich.

"...Boy you're such an angel. people ignores and kicks me out this past few days."

"I-I'm just happy to help, mister. That sandwich is tasty. I'm sure you'll like it"

"..You have a heart of gold, young man. You must be rewarded."

Well that's kinda cliché

"It's just a sandwich, mister."

"..No, you should be rewarded"

I answered him, "Umm.. I don't think so. Kindness and compassion is quite normal for us humans. And I see you're kinda hungry so yea."

"..Thank you, young man."
