You, Me, & My Two Robots

Chapter 3

"Ji-ah?!?!"

<I stepped out of my house and shut the door behind me.>

If Ji-ah sees that I have humanoid robots in my house, what will she think of me? She'll definitely freak out for sure.. No doubt.

"...Umm Yejun, Hello? I've been standing here for twenty seconds .. Can I come in?"

<Sweat trickles down my neck.>

"Y-Yes.. Erm I mean n-no!"

"...Huh?"

<Ji-ah raises her eyebrows at me.>

What is she even doing here anyway?! I mean, My heart beats like crazy that my dream girl is here, but why so random?

<I take another deep breath>

"Y-You can come in, b-but I'll just umm.. tidy up a bit."

I am gone before she could even reply to me.

<I bolt straight to the living room, and the two robots are exchanging glances>

"Listen, I'll have to ask the two of you to hide in my closet for a while, okay?

Please, please, please don't come out until I say so."

Sejeong replies,

"...Roger that! What's wrong, Yejun? You're sweating all over."

<Sunhee tugs Sejeong, and covers Sejeong's mouth>

"...No more questions, Sejeong. Let's go."

I lead them to my two-door closet and have them hide there. Before closing the closet I mouth a sincere "sorry" to them.

Not missing a spot, I hide the huge boxes in the kitchen and I hurriedly, I make my way to the foyer and opened the door for Ji-ah.

"...Hmm took you long enough."

"I'm so sorry. It was a mess inside. C-Come on in, Ji-ah."

The first thing I do is look around the house.. Are there any signs of the two robots? I'll be dead meat if leave a trace behind!

<Ji-ah clears her throat>

"...I came to borrow something, but I have to ask. Why do you seem off today?"

"H-huh? Me? Off?"

"...Yeah, you heard me. Something's off with you."

I look at the ground again because, Ji-ah's looking at me directly.. Ugh I can't concentrate when she's looking at me like that. I brave looking at her face again.

"...You seem fidgety and restless."

"I-I'm not."

"...Yes you are, dummy. Do you think I'll just say things out of randomness?"

"I-I think, there's nothing off with me today."

Ddaeng, I need to divert her attention now!!

"...Then why are you so panicky? You looked like you had seen a ghost when you opened the door for me."

"S-Sorry bout that. I.. erm.. umm.. I just miss my parents."

Her face seems to soften up, and I feel guilty that I lied to Ji-ah. The thing is, I'm being fidgety because of the robots.

"...Ah, didn't you mention that they're astronauts that's why they're away for a long time?"

"Yeah, but I'll be fine.. T-Thanks."
