It was the first day Bokuto didn't visit Akaashi exactly at 1pm. Exactly the Monday after they met out of the shop for the first time.
Akaashi looked anxiously at the watch, every ten seconds and then at the door, waiting for the silver haired to come in. But he didn't. Keiji was confused. Did he do something wrong on Saturday? He didn't know. But he was afraid that Bokuto might have lost interest in Akaashi. Still it didn't make any sense. Bokuto told Akaashi that they should meet again, told him to bring food and said how wonderful the day was. So why did he not visit now?
Akaashi tried to continue his day as always, but still his mind was filled with questions, why Bokuto didn't visit him like usual.
Now it was around 6pm, Akaashi was about to close the shop when suddenly someone sprinted right before the door. Akaashi didn't look up and said, "Sorry I'm closing right now you have to come again tomo-", he got cut off by Bokuto's voice. He was out of breath because he was probably running.
"Akaashi!", Bokuto said.
Akaashi turned around really fast, looking with big eyes to Bokuto, "Bokuto you're here??"
"Of course I am," Bokuto laughed, entering the shop.
"I thought you wouldn't visit me today..", Akaashi said with a kind of sad voice which broke Bokuto's heart.
"I'm so sorry," Koutarou started, "I couldn't make it in time today, I had a client and I had to work through my break. But I got you your promised meal!", Bokuto now said in a more cheering voice, holding up the food he brought for Akaashi.
Relieved from his thoughts about Bokuto being not interested anymore in him, Akaashi took the meal, "Thank you.", he said, "we can sit down in the back of the shop. I'll just close the door," as said, Akaashi locked the doors, then walking with Bokuto behind him to the back of the shop. He then sat down on a really small table with two chairs, both of them sat down. Akaashi then opened his meal, seeing that it was Gyudon.
"Wow that looks amazing," Akaashi said in a surprising but yet thankful voice, "thank you so much, Bokuto-san," he said as he started to eat.
"No problem Akaashi," Bokuto said, then watching Akaashi while he ate.
When Akaashi finished his meal, he got up and cleaned, "I gotta finish everything now. I got new packages and need to put them in the front. I don't know it's boring now," Akaashi smiled nervously.
"Oh should I help you carrying the boxes?" Bokuto asked immediately, already getting up to help the smaller one.
"Oh," Akaashi said surprised, "sure, if you want to," he smiled, glad that someone would help. That means he could finish up sooner.
Since the new packages were for a wedding, it were a lot of boxes Akaashi had to finish. But Bokuto helped him the whole time until they finished everything. It was now nearly midnight. Akaashi took a glance to his watch and sighed, "I'm so sorry, it's really late now. Weddings are a lot of work to do."
Bokuto chuckled, "It's alright. I don't mind helping you at all."
Akaashi smiled softly, once everything was done, both of them got into their jackets.
"Is it okay if I bring you home again? I don't want anything happen to you," Bokuto asked nervously, looking at Akaashi.
Immediately Keiji's cheeks got warm, but he nodded in agreement, "that would be nice,"
With that being said, the two of them walked out of the shop, Akaashi closing all the doors and then walking up to his apartment. There was a comfortable silence between the two, just them enjoying eachothers company.
After some time of walking, when they we're nearly at Akaashi's place, Bokuto raised his voice once again, "Do you mind going out again this week?", he noticed that he asked that with the words 'going out' as if he'd meant a date. His cheeks suddenly felt extremely warm as he looked in shook over to Akaashi, who just smiled with pink cheeks. Since it was so late the moon light was shining, Akaashi's eyes glowing and a small breeze going through his hair. Maybe a date would be the better word to put it this time.
Now Akaashi stopped walking, looking over to Bokuto who also stopped, "like a date?" Akaashi asked confused, but not as he'd say no to that question.
"Ehh," Bokuto's hands suddenly started sweating and he again rubbed his hand over his neck, biting on his lip, "I guess, yeah? Let's call it a date this time," he smiled, his eyes wrinkle as he did so.
Akaashi couldn't help himself but smile. His heart started beating ten times faster and he felt like a teenage boy who just got his first confession. But he was twenty seven. There was nothing he hasn't done yet relationship wise but still, he catched himself being extremely nervous and overly excited.
"That sounds great, Bokuto-san."
With these words, Bokuto lightened up even more when he run over to Akaashi who was a few steps behind him, to get him into a loving hug.
