The next days were again the same. Bokuto came every evening with something to eat for Akaashi and then helping him organize everything. Even though Akaashi now always came home around midnight, just because they made so much fun during organizing, he didn't mind. He was happy seeing his owl like friend everyday.
Today was Saturday again, which meant that Akaashi and Bokuto had their date. Bokuto only told Akaashi that they'd go to the city, nothing more.
Keiji close the shop super early today, he only had it open for like three hours. He then went home so he could shower, style his hair and then choose an outfit. This was probably the hardest task of them all.
Akaashi went through his whole closet, throwing different outfits onto his bed. In the end he couldn't decide so he decided to write Kenma Kozume, a friend of his, to ask him for advice.
Kenma wasn't the type to care alot about this kinda stuff so he wasn't that big of a help. In the end Akaashi decided to wear a beige sweatshirt, with grey trousers and a darker beige coat.
He looked in the mirror and started to freak out, as he took the phone to call Kenma.
"..hello?", came from the other line, barely to hear.
"KENMA!!", Akaashi shouted, "I look so ugly!! He won't have a next date with me when I look like th-"
"Geez Akaashi, calm down," Kenma said, definitely annoyed because he probably had to stop playing his video game, "you definitely look stunning. Bokuto wouldn't care anyway, this dude is obsessed with you."
Now Akaashi's cheeks turned completely red, "No he isn't!! And I bet he'll look so handsome today."
"He probably will," Kenma said, "but so are you. He likes you, Akaashi. He saw you in your work clothes, do you really think he'll find you ugly now? Also as long as your face looks alright you're pretty anyways."
Akaashi teared up at this. He didn't get those compliments a lot from his friend, because he definitely was the bigger introvert of the two, "thank you, Kenma.."
"No problem, Akaashi. Now have a nice date and don't overthink too much."
With these words Kenma hung up, leaving Akaashi alone with his problems. Still those words made Akaashi cheer up a bit and believe in himself. Bokuto would be there around 2pm to pick Akaashi up. So he still had about thirty minutes.
Akaashi checked again his whole outfit, put on some natural makeup again and then got a bag with his wallet and other necessary things. He even packed some food in case they didn't get to eat anything else.
The doorbell rang and Akaashi flinched slightly. Still he walked to the door and opened it, seeing a nervous but smiling Bokuto right in front of him.
"Hey hey hey Akaashi!", Bokuto said smiling, waving with his one hand, in the other hand some flowers and chocolate. Immediately Akaashi started smiling, "ahh these are for you, Akaashi," said Bokuto, handing Akaashi the flowers and chocolate over.
Akaashi took them grateful and with a smile on his face, "thank you Bokuto, they're really pretty", he said rather shy, "do you want to come in? I have to put the flowers in so that they don't die," Akaashi now explained on which Bokuto nodded in agreement.
So Bokuto entered the apartment. While looking around he saw that Akaashi had a lot of flowers all over the place. Otherwise it was pretty minimalistic. But he managed to have everything in light colors such as beige and it was extremely organized. Totally different from Bokuto's apartment.
Akaashi put the flowers in a vase and put these onto his living room table. Bokuto smiled at that, "oh do you like chocolate? I didn't know I just thou--"
