Crystal blacked out before hearing the sound of sirens and a truck driving towards her. She felt her eyes roll up, and she took a breath before felling, hearing, and seeing nothing.
Crystal soon woke up with only her right eye opening. She had wounds everywhere, each one was bound tightly, with blood stained through it. Crystal looked around the room on the right, cause that's the only way she could look. She then realized that her eye was covered with an eye patch. She saw a lot of white, not knowing where she was, she slowly sat up. With a slight groan, she fell back, laying down.
She shook her head to the sides, looking for her parents, starting to get worried. She felt sharp pains in her right leg, that made her growl. She looked down, past her bed she saw an office. Men and women wore either blue khakis, or a white long coat. She started to worry.
"Where am I?" Crystal muttered. "What happened? Where's mom.. and dad?" She felt herself shake once she thought about what had happened.
The whole scene ran through her head all at once. She felt her eye twitch as she remembered the stars and the blood, the way she her heart beat, the way she screamed and the way she argued. She remembered the way her parents looked before this happened, them in their outfits, images ran through her mind as she stared at the ceiling. She felt tears run down the right side of her face, Crystal was now alone in this fight against everything. She clenched her fists tightly, thinking about the hill, and how her parents would have survived if they had just move. Why didn't they move? Crystal stared at the ceiling while all of those memories of her parents went through her mind.
Crystal's face went from being filled with sadness, to her eyes being filled with flames of rage and she had a straight face. She managed to sit up, throwing the blankets off of her body, she saw doctors and nurses coming towards her and she growled lowly. Crystal pushed away the doctors and nurses that got close to her, throwing her legs off of the bed. She stood straight, still pushing anyone who got in her way like they were nothing to her anyway. Crystal started to limp, feeling her body completely tilt to the side. She grabbed clothes that weren't even hers, but fit her perfectly, and she walked out, signing herself out of the hospital. She walked out with less of a limp than it was earlier. Crystal was being lectured on how she was wounded badly and needed medical help. Crystal, of course, growled and barked at them that she was fine, and that she didn't have time for them.
Crystal was soon running away, with great amounts of pain running through her. She ran down the street, then took a left, panting heavily. She tripped a couple times, but didn't fall. She kept running until she was at her house, which took hours to get to. Crystal walked up to the front door, placing her hand on it, panting still, she dropped her head, slowly getting onto her knees with her hand sliding against the door.
She placed the top of her head against the door as well, her hand becoming a fist, Crystal soon looked up, and grabbed the handle of the door, standing, she panted and panted. It was locked. So, Crystal began to look around for the key, looking under the "Welcome!" mat, there it lay, the spare key. She unlocked the door, opening the door. The inside of her house was full with her and her parent's stuff, but no one was there to take care of it all except her. She slowly walked in, falling onto her hands and knees, she slammed her fist against the ground, whimpering.
"It's only me... I don't want to be alone in this house.." Crystal muttered.
Soon enough she stood, her leg gave out, the pain returning with a bang. Crystal groaned in pain. She took a step back, leaning against the open door. She got over the pain after she thought about what her parents went through. She was strong, but she wasn't strong enough to deal with something like this alone. After a couple days, Crystal was working on the house alone, and she did everything for herself. That was until the very next day she had to go to school.
