As Crystal Sat waiting for about 30 minutes, she felt her hands beginning to shake from the fact that she was going to change completely. All because she had to fulfill her father's wishes.. but how did he know who to call? What to do? Did he look into the future and saw this coming? Did he know he was going to die? Did he know that Crystal was the only one to survive the car wreck..?
Whatever the reason was, Crystal couldn't just pass this over, she had to go through with it. As she began to look up, the door opened. Walking through it was Dr. Stride, she knew it was time. As she stood, she glared at Dr. Stride with a small growl erupting from her throat.
"I am telling you now, if you kill me on purpose, my spirit will haunt you forever until the day you die..." Crystal growled lowly and viciously.
"You can trust us, we will take care of you and make sure you are exactly what we want..." Dr. Stride said with a small sigh.
Crystal had to change into a medical gown and sit into a wheelchair and be rolled around to the surgery room. Her heart was pounding out of her chest as they got closer to the room that would change her forever. As soon as the door opened, doctors in blue scrubs and masks on their faces were ready to see her and change her.
"Alright, Crystal, we're going to start putting anesthesia to knock you out, and then the procedure will start and by the time we are done, your wounds will be treated and you will be a whole new girl," Dr. Stride said while standing behind Crystal.
As soon as she passed out, they started to cut her open, rip her apart, and replace her missing limbs with robotic ones. The whole procedure took hours, almost a whole day, but she ended up with a robotic leg and eye and she had one arm cut off and be replaced, like her leg. She was put in a hospital like bed, and she slept for days, a school week to be exact.
Dr. Stride came in to check up on her from time to time, he would sit next to her and make sure her heart rate is normal, along with trying to wake her up. Nothing would happen. Sometimes, he though she was dead and checked to see if her heart was beating through her veins on her neck and her flesh wrist, even though her robotic wrist would do the same thing as a normal one.
That's just how he worked.. he made the first machine that can be surgically placed as your missing limbs and know what your heart rate is like a normal hand, and you can move like you would with these robotic limbs. The only thing is, he doesn't know if she can see through her eye with the robotic implants, and he wants to know right away.
It was the eighth day after the surgery and Crystal sleeping that she finally woke up, and she woke up from a growling stomach. She grunted as she slowly sat up in the hospital like bed.
"Good afternoon, Crystal," said Dr. Stride, who happened to walk into the door right when she sat up. "I hope you are feeling well."
"Too bad, cause I feel like crap," Crystal growled. "Is there anything to eat here? Like a huge buffet or something?"
"Ah, yes, we will have some food brought up right away," Dr. Stride smiled.
"No, I'll get it myself, I just need my clothes is all...." Crystal said with yet another small growl if her stomach and throat.
Dr. Stride left the room to let her have some privacy and she changed into her clothes that was right next to her. She sighed lowly as she walked out of the room, completely forgetting that she had robotic limbs, and she could see clearly through both of her eyes. Even though that the one she had lost didn't quite match the eye color of the other one.
"Is that the girl who got the weird implants? She's so young..." a nurse whispered to another, she was probably new, considering the fact that she stood differently, and, oddly, Crystal saw almost everything about that nurse at the top of her head through her robot eye.
"You don't know anything about me, new girl..." Crystal lowly said with a small sigh as she walked.
Crystal looked at another person and saw everything about that person, it was odd to see that she knew almost everything about that person. She knew that she was different, and, well, robotic, but she didn't expect this. As she walked into the cafeteria, she saw everything about everyone in there, eating something.
