Tyler's POV
"Aye Twitch! You still coming over after graduation tonight?" I yelled down the hall way to Michael while he got his graduation hat out of his locker."Sure thing, sugar tits." I love our friendship. We can literally say anything to or about each other and it wouldn't affect our friendship. Sometimes when we are together, I almost forget about Rachel... but only for half a second. Michael is my best friend but he can never replace Rachel. No one can. I love her and always will.

"Holy shit dude! I..It's almost my turn! What-" "Derek Tyler Carter" I looked back at Michael for reassurance as I walked across the stage to accept my diploma and hand shake from the principal. The entire time he just made this really sexual and perverted face, which just made me laugh hysterically and gave me zero reassurance.
"Thanks, dickweed, you almost made me trip from laughing so hard." I said to him as I walked back to my seat. He just looked at me and twitched in response.
"Well that's all we had to look forward to after fours years of living hell in this place." he says to me while watching some girl accept her diploma. Her last name started with a P. Oh God... almost to the R's... I hope I don't break down in the middle of graduation.
"Yeah, I know dude. I think that if you made it through all four years without dropping out, getting knocked up, going to jail, or getting addicted to cocaine, you should get, like, a Ferrari or some shit like that." We sat there in silence for the next couple people and then...
"This next diploma rightfully belongs to an amazing, beautiful young lady named Rachel Reece. She had so much talent and was an exceptional student. Let's all have a moment of silence in honor and memory of our greatly missed student..." That fifteen seconds of silence in memory of Rachel was the longest fifteen seconds ever. I just sat there and all the memories came back all at one time. After that, the phone call just kept playing in my head over and over again... The phone call that I never wanted to relive. The call when I found out she died.
When the moment of silence ended, I just kept my head in my arms for a few extra seconds. "Hey, dude, you alright?" "Hmm? Oh... yeah I'm good." I really wasn't and Michael could obviously tell, he knows me way too well. So we just sat and watched everyone get what they waited a whole four years for.
"Well, we're finally every day members of society! Now if we get in trouble we go to real jail." Michael said as we walked back to my car. "I know, so go hide that body right now or we'll be in deep shit."
A/N: In case you don't already know, Rachel Reece was actually Tyler's best friend in high school and she actually died. In this story, the majority of things about Rachel and Tyler's feelings about her or having to do with her are factual.
