Michael's POV
I can't believe I just freaking graduated high school...next to my best friend in the entire world. I don't care what Tyler and I do in life, as long as we can do it together. I can't imagine my life without him.
"So, like, where do we go from here man? I mean, I have literally nothing planned out." I said as I got a box of pizza out of his fridge and sat down on the couch.
"Let's be the next Einstein."
"I'm totally for that dude. The only problem is I'm a dumb ass and, no offense, but you aren't that better off." I replied, half kidding. And then it hit me...
"DUDE! Let's start a band! All we need is a drummer, bassist, and two guitarists and we'll be good!", I said as though it wasn't a big deal. He just looked at the ground without saying a word.
"C'mon man! You have the voice of a million angels and I guess I could do the screams and shit! Dude come on, this will be awesome!"
Tyler's POV
"DUDE! Let's start a band!"
God, I hoped he wouldn't say that. I promised myself and Rachel that I would never go any where with music now that she isn't by my side to do it with me. Michael was still trying to convince me to do this band thing with him and I just looked at the ground blocking him out. Come on, Tyler.
She would want you to do this, you know she would...
Yeah but I promised. I can't do this without her...
I went back and forth like this in my mind until I noticed Michael was done talking.
"I don't know man... I mean I'm good but not that good."
"You're amazing and you know it. Don't deny it." You know she would want this for you, Tyler. You know it.
"You know what, yeah. Let's do this." I said, confidence written on my face but my voice telling a different story.
"YES! THIS IS AWESOME!" Michael said, literally jumping up and down. While he's celebrating, I couldn't help but feel guilty... This was supposed to be Rachel next to me...
