Chapter 8 Search for Oscar

After the fight that just happened and with Oscar running away they decided to split up and find him. Ruby went with Weiss, Blake went with Yang, Ren with Nora, Qrow with Maria, and Pyrrha with her son. Each group went to different parts of the city to find the boy. 

By now it was dark out and snowing, making the air freezing. Pyrrha had Jr all bundled up and even bought the young boy hot chocolate. Despite after houts of looking they could not find the boy and neither could the others. Pyrrha decided to take a break on a nearby bench as Jr sat down next to her. 

Pyrrha: You feeling tired honey, I could take you back home?

Jr: No thanks, I want to help you guys. 

Pyrrha suddenly got a call on her scroll and went to asnwer it. While she was distracted Jr saw something hiding in the trees in the nearby park. Being the curious boy he was, he decided to go investigate it. However when he got close to it the figure vanished. He ended up wondering through the park until he came across a giant statue of his mother. 

???: Your mother is an impressive woman. 

Jr spun around and saw a figure in a cloak. He couldnt see what the person looked like since they had their hood up and was wearing mask that covered their. The only thing Jr knew was the person was a man. 

???: Even at a young age she rivalled people who had first hand experiance fighting grimm. Truly an impressive feat. 

Jr: Who are you. 

???: Just an observer. I still dont know what she saw in your father. 

Jr: You knew my dad?

???: Not knew him, mainly saw him interact with your mom. It was if the boy was completely new to fighting. If it wasnt for your mom then he would have died during the intiation ceremony. Then again, her training could only get him so far. He was a fool and believed he could save the day. 

That made Jr mad, this man was insulting his father. A man who gave his life to save others. 

Jr: My dad was a hero! So what if he wasnt the strongest, he gave his life to save others!

The man chuckled. 

???: That you are right. While he lacked fighting skills he had a heart made of gold. He strived to become a better warrior and better leader. It's a shame he died so young, no telling how strong he would be if he were alive right now. Beware young Arc, your mother and friends have made some powerful enemies. The nearby future for you will be filled with hard ship. 

Jr: What do you...

Pyrrha: JR!

Jr quickly turned around and saw his mother running towards him. When Jr turned back around he found the cloaked figure had dissapeared. When Pyrrha got to Jr she grabbed him by his shoulders and made him look her in the eye. 

Pyrrha: Never do that again, we are already missing one person we dont need another one gone. You cant just wander off. 

Jr: Sorry mommy. 

Pyrrha let out a sigh, she picked Jr up and started to walk away. 

Pyrrha: Why did you wander off into the park anyways?

Jr: I saw a man, he lead me to that statue. 

Pyrrha: Sweety, there was no one there besides you. 

Jr: I swear mom, I was talking to him. 

Pyrrha: What did he even look like?

Jr: Dont know, he was wearing a mask. He sounded like he knew you and dad. 

Pyrrha: Are you sure. 

Jr: Yeah, he even knew how dad died. 

Thoughts started to race through her mind, Jr sounded like he was telling the truth. If that was the case then who could this man be. The mom and son left the park, as they did the cloak figure watched them while hiding in a tree.

???: Soon....

(timeskip)

Everyone who went out searching for Oscar returned to the house. When they did they discovered Oscar had also returned. After a few apologies and some scowling, everyone ate and relaxed. It was best they all enjoyed this peaceful time, because soon they would be entering a massive fight.
