"Sometimes..."
A regular looking young lady walked through the office doors. Her hair - cut into a bob - bounced ,while she had unknowingly stride herself to her designated spot.
"Let's see," she mumbled under her breath.
She scanned through the extremely small room. There was usually a list of things in this room: tables, computers, papers, chairs and other office supplies cramped up together.
"Ah!" She found her seat on a chair labeled '14'. It was just taped on the old office chairs.
Their boss was very picky when it came to spending money - simply frugal. Even so, the place earned more then enough, but not that much compared to other companies.
She took her seat, straightening herself up. This morning she had to rush for the welcoming.
Every year, the chairman assembles all the staff members, workers and new members in the company to welcome them for the new year. And, it just so happens, she was running late on her first work day for the year.
Luckily, they had holidays, but this is due to their lack of work at some point in time.
She held her stomach in discomfort. Rushing to the assembly resulted in skipping breakfast, so she was rather hungry. It was silly of her to forget about breakfast.
She closed her eyes in an attempt to tame her hunger. After a few minutes, she heard someone sit next to her. She did not bother looking who sat next to her. She was on guard, while one of her senses wasn't being used.
Hearing some kind of plastic bag, she opened her eyes slowly. Her curiosity made her forget about her hunger for just a moment.
"Here."
She flinched when someone shoved an apple right in front of her face. It wasn't an exaggeration. She gently pushed the arm away, trying to hide her irritation.
"What's with that expression? Be grateful that I even gave something to nibble on," she heard him say.
She noted another person took their seat beside her. The place was filling up rather quickly.
She sighed.
Taking the apple, she mumbled a quick thanks. She didn't feel like giving a quick remark like she always did.
Whilst nibbling on the apple, a question she'd wanted to know the answer to popped up. She shifted her gaze from the apple to the young man beside her.
"Dong Hyuck?" She called him.
"Hm?" He shifted his attention towards her - if it wasn't already.
"Did you perhaps hear any news from Jae Min? You know, Mister Na?" She asked him with a worried expression.
His face was blank, and he reverted his gaze to the podium. His silence told her he was worried too. She knew that much; he was contemplating how much he would tell her.
"I don't know the details, but he's on leave for now. He needed to go to the hospital during the holidays, and got treatment. Though it seems he's going to be on leave for a while," he explained in displeasure.
