Hans was in his bunk, tapping his fingers on the wood of his cot, it was midnight and cold but he couldn't seem to fall asleep. The other men snored and grumbled and some talked in their sleep, the blonde male swung his legs over the side of his cot and stood up, he let out a loud sigh and went outside, making a small fire and making a coffee, he was in a new base by this point and was soon being sent to the skies for his first battle.

Hans sat down and nursed on his black coffee and took out a small disk of scho-ka-Kola chocolate and broke off a piece before popping it into his mouth then he put some in his coffee and mixed it together, he just sat infront of the fire as he drank his coffee when suddenly the sound of planes filled the air. Hans kicked out the fire and got his gear on, he knew what it was and it was a bomber formation, he wasn't the only one that was awake and he met the other men, they were panicking to get ready as Hans got into his special Messerschmitt bf 109 and started down the runway.

He shut the canopy and took off, pulling into the air as the bombs began to drop. He flew up and forced his plane past its limits and got up to the bombers.

As he got up the tail gunners began to open fire with their heavy machine guns, Hans began his assault and began to fire his MG's at the planes, letting out short bursts of fury as his squad mates joined him, he began to break left with his squadron as they took down one bomber, then another, then the third.

It wasn't long before they had took out the bombers and chased off the fighters, Hans had shot down 10 fighters and 3 bombers which made him an ace and now available to receive the iron cross.

He landed his plane and hopped out as he let his men land and checked them for wounds and made sure they were ok, he had proven himself in combat and was a true ace, and a menace in the skies.
