Do you ever wake up and don't want to get out of bed? Well in this case couch. Armin wasn't next to me anymore but thankfully he left me a blanket that I was currently snuggled up in. Me and winter have a love hate relationship. I have a feeling that I really liked my dream but as soon as I opened my eyes I forgot it, I usually remember it later in the day though.
I smelled something nice, something... sweet. Armin must be cooking again, I really should have him over more. I reluctantly rolled off the couch, losing my balance I fell on my phone. I hoped to God I didn't brake it. I removed it from under my back, thankfully it was safe. Not only was it safe, but I also had a text message.
Good morning kid, I hope I don't wake you up with this text. I just wanted to let you know that I'll be over at 6 to pick you up. We're having dinner at Wall Shina so I need your adress. - Levi
The fact that I was going on a date with Levi just sunk in and my heart sank. All of a sudden I was nervous and my face heated up. I quickly texted him my adress and tried to shake off the nerves by going over to the kitchen to see what Armin was up to.
"Morning house wife," I chimed as I sat at the table knowing that breakfast would be ready soon, it was pancakes.
"Only for you Eren, good morning," he grinned, flipping another pancake.
"Only me? what about eyebrow game, he doesn't get special Armin breakfast?"
"He gets special Armin dinner, he likes to make breakfast."
He brought over a plate of blue berry pancakes and handed me a fork and knife. "Don't forget the syrup honey!" He giggled and brought it over, sitting across me with his own plate of food.
"If Erwin ever heard the way you talk to me he'd never let me live it down."
-------------------------------
After breakfast it was around 1 in the afternoon. That's when Armin suggested we play video games. We played for awhile and I was totally kicking Armins butt. You know how you'll get so into a game or something and then you lose all sense of time. And the line between reality and fantasy blur. That's kind of what was happening.
"That's not fair Eren! You know I suck at this game," Armin whined and I laughed.
"That sounds like a personal problem Armin."
Then I got a couch pillow thrown at my face.
"Armin, stepping on a few ants is what it means to be strong! I'm sorry but that's just the natural order of things."
Then I received multiple pillows to the face. I couldn't let that slide so the great pillow war commenced. It was a long and grueling battle but there could only be one winner.
"Ahem... "
I smacked him with the force of giants and he fell from the couch and landed like a feather to the cold wooden floor.
"Ahem...."
Armin never stood a chance against me. His eyes went wide and I assumed he was shocked by my strength.
"Umm Eren..."
"Armin it's ok you don't need to speak. I know, I surprised myself as well."
"No Eren there's a-"
"Giant gap in our power levels I know, there's nothing to be embarrassed about."
"Eren..."
"Armin I - wait that's not Armin's voice..."
I looked down at Armin still on the floor and he was wide eyed and pointed to the right. When my eyes followed the path his fingers lead to all the color drained from my face.
"Levi?!"
He stood not to far from the couch, dressed very nicely with his arms crossed over his chest and an incredibly smirk.
"So you finally noticed me Eren," he raised an eyebrow and just like that the color returned to my face but in the shade of crimson.
"Levi h-how long have you been here? How did you even get in?" I was so confused, and shocked I forgot how sentences worked.
He took a few steps closer till he was standing next to me. I was still sitting on the couch and he laced his fingers in my hair, petting me softly.
"Long enough. I knocked a few times but I could hear your video game music through the door so I doubted you heard me. So I tried the door knob and to my surprise your door was unlocked."
He cupped my cheek with the hand that was just playing with my bed head.
"It's 6 o'clock Eren. Why don't you go get dressed quickly and I'll wait here."
He leaned down and kissed my cheek with a tenderness I've never felt before, and all I could say was ok softly as my cheeks set fire to my face. I stumbled off the couch and grabbed Armins hand pulling him up stairs with me.
-------------------------------------------
"So that's Levi? He's really cool."
I was currently attempting to brush my teeth and hair at the same time.
"Yeah he's cool and now he's seen how lame I am and won't ever want to see me again!"
"Really? Cause to me it seemed like he was really fond of you. The way he looked at you, and the gentle touches... heck I was fangirling."
I was dressed, brushed my hair, my teeth, deodorant, socks... I need shoes! And coat... I could barely register what Armin was saying, my thoughts were all jumbled up. I need help.
"Eren calm down. Here's your coat," he put it on for me. " Sit down and I'll tie your shoes."
"Thanks Armin, I'm glad your here."
He smiled as he grabbed my wallet and keys off the dresser, putting them in my coat pocket.
"Anytime Eren, your all ready now so don't worry about anything and have a great night. I'll be here when you get back so don't spare me any details," he winked and I giggled calming down.
"You'll be the first to know."
We came back down stairs and Levi was still in the couch on his phone. He looked up and smiled.
"Don't you clean up nicely."
He stood up and walked over to Armin.
"You must be close friends with Eren. I'm Levi, it's nice to meet you."
"I'm Armin and We're best friends actually."
"Cute."
They shuck hands then Levi turned to me. "I wish we had more time but Eren it's getting late."
"Right! I'll see you later Armin."
"See ya Eren."
Levi took my hand as we walked out the door.
