As I was waking up I heard the sound of my car door open and my mothers voice telling me we were finally here, California State University. It wasn't a long drive, just three hours away from my childhood home, but it wasn't depressing. I've been dreaming of going since freshman year with my four bestfriends, well three if you don't count my boyfriend Calum. Micheal, Shelby, Calum, Kylean and I have always wanted to come here and now that it's 2015, we are finally able to.
"Are you gonna help me with your bags or are you just gonna stand there." My mom yelled from behind the car "Oh sorry," I answered her and helped bring four of my bags into my cozy dorm room. My mom looked around the room, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Are you sure you want to go here Logan, you're dad and I can still get a refund and enroll you into a different college," She stated as she was unpacking my clothes. "Mom I've told you a thousand times and I'll tell you a million more, I'm in love with this place. I'm not going anywhere." She just rolled her eyes.
"What up slut face?" I heard my friend Shelby say, walking into the room, throwing her bags on the ground and jumping on her bed. "Hey Shelby," I laughed. Hearing my mom let out a huge sigh, I turned and looked at her.
"Well kiddo, I got to get going. Do you have everything you need?" She asked, making her way to the door. "Yes mom, doing great," I said giving her a fake cheesy smile with a thumbs up. "Alright call me if you need anything, she stated, walking out the door. The door opened back up, my mom walking back in, "Try not to need me." She smiled, blowing me a kiss, then shut the door.
The rest of my night was spent unpacking all of mine and most of Shelbys stuff, she got bored halfway through and left saying she'd be right back. That was for hours ago and she still wasn't back but that's normal for her so I wasn't that worried.
It was getting late so I took a quick shower. Getting in bed, I plugged my music in, only listening to a few songs before slowly drifting off to sleep. Tomorrow was my last free day, then my classes start.
