"Is this forever?", asked Harper, trembling.
"Do we care? We'll die before we know it in this asylum" snapped Camila.
"Don't startle her Camila, it's a summer camp", said Layla, trying to stay optimistic.
"I'm with Camila on this one, you need it to be summer for it to be a summer camp", Liam said madly.
"It would also be preferable that a summer camp isn't surrounded by dead everything", added Noah.
"Yeah. Where are we, by the way?", asked David.
"Driving to our murders", replied Camila in the most monotone voice, "I say we ditch the bus and go underground before zombies come back to find us".
"No one is going to die", reassured Layla.
"I'd rethink that Layla", said Noah nervously."We are going to die, it's a surprise I lived through my childhood", Camila said with dullness in her voice.
"Camila, you are really freaking me out!", exclaimed Harper.
"Quiet down or I'll crash!" screamed the bus driver. All of them silenced. There was little to know about these six teens, for they had been abandoned at an orphanage since before they could talk. They had been raised together and in their own way, they formed a family. Harper was nervous, insecure and she questioned it all. She had short ginger hair and big, round spectacles that covered half her face. Camila was fierce, tough, pessimistic, and never once revealed too much emotion. She had black hair, brown skin, and wore exclusively black clothes. Layla was sweet, bubbly, and got the best out of all situations. She was blonde and had beautiful, round hazel eyes. Liam was a very nice guy, he was mature and had the most common sense out of all of them. He had brown hair and was abnormally tall. Noah was often labeled "nerdy", for his weirdly large glasses, his obsession with books, and his stutter when meeting new people. He had a small afro and brown skin. David wassarcastic and never passed up an opportunity to make a joke. He had brown hair which was always badly cut. They were raised by horrible people in a dark orphanage secluded from society. Their childhood was horrible. Now that they were sixteen, the worst was coming. They were sent away by the head of the orphanage to a summer camp even farther away from a society that you and I live in. They all worried the more they approached their destination, the area they were in wasn't charming at all. They were surrounded by dark trees in the dead of night where evil could be lurking around. They fell sound asleep for hours until the bus stopped violently, which shook them up.
"Get out! We're here!", the bus driver screeched angrily. The six of them hastily got out of the car.
"Welcome", said a lady mischievously. She wore a black gown that draped over her entire body and dark red lipstick perfectly placed upon her lips. She grinned widely while giving the group a piercing stare. They stood there in silence.
"We are ever so happy to have you here", she said to them. They smiled in fear as she took them to where they wouldstay. Their bedrooms were these dark, rusty cabins that instilled fears into their hearts.
"How long will we stay here?", asked Harper.
"We'll get rid of you soon", she muttered under her breath. "What?", asked Liam.
"Not too long my dears", she replied with a joyful expression, "I'll leave you to get settled". She walked out of the room and Camila began assembling pieces of wood.
"Camila, what are you doing?", asked Layla.
"I'm making weapons to defend myself from creepy murder lady", she replied.
"Camila, she is not a murderer. She was actually pretty decent", Layla said.
"I beg to differ", added Liam.
"She was creepy as hell", Harper said quietly. "Camila, if I may add", started Noah."No you may not add", she growled. "Okay", he said, stepping away from her.
"That lady looks familiar, I wonder where I've seen her", said David, "Oh right, my nightmares!".
"You are all acting insane", yelled Layla, "I am going outside". She walked out to see other people at the 'camp', which normalized it. She went up to talk to them, but pretty soon noticed that they were different. There was something suspicious about the camp. They way they smiled, and the questions they avoided. All the people she talked to avoided the question 'is this place safe?'. They would nervously look away and continue smiling to the point where it was all unnerving. She rushed back to their cabin.
"There is something weird about this campsite", she said walking in.
"Who could've predicted it?", David asked sarcastically.
"I'm being serious David", she said fiercely, "The other people here. They are weird".
