Clay's great idea

authors note....i got this idea after watching izethetic on youtube's say so minecraft animation. i thought it was really cool and i got inspired

                                                                                Dream's POV

the beloved minecraft youtuber, dream, had just published a minecraft manhunt video. george had gotten nose congestion and couldn't play good so dream posted it with sapnap instead.

he was still chuckling to himself on how the ending was, before his cat, patches, entered his partially open door.
"hey there, baby," he glanced at his kitty and smiled. "what's up?"
patches meowed in response. clay shrugged at her, as to say "i can't understand you", however bending down and picking her up and stroking her back.

patches purred in his arms and nuzzled his green sweatshirt sleeve.
dream sat there for a few minutes before she jumped down and trotted out of his room.

clay turned on his computer and decided to watch some of his friends' videos, but saw a strange video in his recommended.
"hm?" he said to himself, clicking on it. "say so.. minecraft animation? oh! i remember these. aren't these like, the parody things?"

a song by doja cat started playing. dream was not familiar and was taken aback. the screen faded from black to an empty white room and three minecraft characters standing side by side. they suddenly began dancing and dream laughed at the surprise. he wasn't sure what to expect.

clay recognized some of the youtubers, he saw grian and mumbo jumbo. he had heard of them but never really watched their videos.
some more played and danced along with the beat, and dream was delighted. he wasn't sure what had caused the recommendation but it was surely making his night.

then, the dream team popped up. dream let out a small gasp as he didn't expect him and his friends to be in the video.
once his friends started doing a choreographed dance with the music, dream paused the video. he seemed to be thinking something over and then pulled out his phone. he went into a group chat with sapnap and george and linked the video.

dream- guys! i had an idea w this song. reply asap

sapnap- lol what is that

dream- it's a Minecraft animation, watch it.

clay waited for sapnap to watch the video and soon got a reply.

sapnap- LMAO that's crazy

sapnap- why did you share it though

georgenotfound- im tired what is happening

sapnap- dream sent a weird video,, just watch it

dream- i was thinking about that video

dream- and i had an idea.

dream- so there's a small bit where the dream team is in the song

dream- and i thought

georgenotfound- omg

dream- what if we started a dance trope together? we could choreograph and go on tour and stuff? it's insane, i know, from a tiny scene in a video but..i think it could work.

sapnap and george were both typing. clay suddenly regretted even saying anything. it was impossible, it'd never work

sapnap- uh dude, but we all live so far away. you live in florida, i live in texas, and george is all the way in britain.

george- yea i dunno dream.. how will i get over to you? i dont have that money

dream- i can pay to fly you both over.... i'm selling new merch and remember that one time i gave you 5000 dollars?

george- woah you would?

dream- yes,, i think this could be a fun idea

sapnap- eehhh,,, sure, as long as you're paying i'm in.

george- i can go for it, too, i guess.

dream stared at his phone screen as his computer turned on a random video from autoplay.
"did i just start a dance group?"

and, just like that, dream got himself in one of the biggest things in his life. and he couldn't wait.
