Dream's POV
it was my idea. i came up with a great dancing group that already had a name: Dream Team!
it was one of my great ideas that actually seemed to work out, the first one being my youtube channel.i was the one driving back to my own house, with georgenotfound and sapnap in the backseat.
we had an appointment tomorrow with our choreographer, mandy, at the studio i bought, and i had second thoughts.
our choreographer was an ex-ballerina! a ballerina. when i thought of a dance trope i wasn't thinking of special kicks and dainty dances.
when i thought of a dance trope, i was thinking of— well, i didn't really put any thought into it.i do know whatever i expected wasn't ballet!
as i pulled up to my house, i realized how gross i was.
my hair was oily and crunchy, my skin had marker streaks, bruises, and my hands were pink at the tips.
i opened the mirror above the steering wheel and studied my face.
my eyes were glassy, looking like sharp ovals. my skin had little, little bumps around my nose. and, there was a stream of red across my eyes and bridge of my nose.
"was i blushing this whole time??"
i looked at my friends, then back at the mirror."uhm, we're here! let's go inside, guys." i coughed a short cough and unbuckled my seatbelt. george and sapnap did the same.
i pushed my way out of my car and ran to my door.
i fumbled with the keys and opened the door slowly. patches was napping in her usual spot on the cat post.
"welcome to my palace." i did a flourish with my hands and bowed.
george chuckled and hauled his luggage inside.
sapnap wandered into the kitchen. "nice lighting, dream! this place is nice."i rubbed the bank of my head. "thanks!" my eyes fixated on george. the slim british man walked through my kitchen, eyes brightening when he saw i had chocolate in my fridge.
"i-i'm going to take shower.." i trailed off. my mind wandered. is this what being in love feels like?
"haha, 'take shower'? okay, sure, buddy." sapnap pulled a chair back and sat down.
"yes...bye!" i turned and made a beeline for my staircase.
the grey paint on my walls really made me insecure. why'd i choose such a bad color for my walls? at least it matches the stair carpeting.
i flung past the door to my bedroom and stepped into the bathroom.
i flicked the light on, and only now that i had guests i realized how dinky it was.there was a thin roll of toilet paper left, the shower curtain had a rip in it, and there was dirt all over the tiles from when i went on a 2 hour hike.
the lightbulb complimented the white-yellow walls with a color only a 4 year old lightbulb would serve.
i sighed, pulled back the shower curtain and started the water. i took off my shirt, then my jeans. then i noticed my reflection.
my hair was a dusty yellow, my eyes had pink surrounding them. and my skin really had to be washed.i stayed up all last night just trying to tidy up the guest rooms for george and sapnap.
i stepped into the shower and got myself wet, then grabbed the shampoo.i heard a knock on the door. it was george.
"hey, i'm gonna go in after you, so don't use all the hot water, okay?"i almost flipped it over to freezing cold. george could use all the hot water.
later
i
finished my shower, got in comfier clothes, and relaxed downstairs while george took his shower.
i was flicking the channels on the tv, then decided to go to on demand.
"hey, sapnap. do you want to watch hulu?""you know it." sapnap found my powdered doughnuts. when he talked, it sputtered floured sugar on my floors.
i signed into hulu and went to my list.
"wanna watch a ted bundy documentary?" i called, hovering the remote over it."nooo.. turn on a cartoon or something." sapnap returned.
"like..bob's burgers?" i craned my neck towards him.
"uh..yeah. i've never seen that."
a few minutes into the show, george came out. he had a towel tied to his waist.
"hey, dream, where's your spare clothes?" he peered down the stairs."i don't have any, just look through the drawers in my room." i tied my finger through strands of my hair before I realized.
i almost ripped my hair out. i threw my hands on the couch and bolted up the stairs.
"wait! george! don't go into my room!"
i stumbled over my feet and almost fell. i saw george turn the doorknob and push the door open.no!
"dream.. what is this?"
i pushed him out of the way. but it was too late. he saw the large rainbow flag above my bed.
