Chapter 1
James Daniel McVey was singing and playing his guitar in his room facing the window, when he noticed a car parked in front of the house of their new neighbors. His mom told him that a new family moved there. She’s currently making cookies for their new neighbor.
He looked at the car and a woman that looks like in her 30’s, a man who also looks like in his 30’s, and a girl in his age, came out. He couldn’t see what the girl looks like ‘cause he’s facing her back.
They went in to their new house.
He just continue what he was doing. Then later on, someone knocked on his door.
“James.” His mom came in holding a bag full of cookies. “Can you give this to our new neighbor?”
“Me?” he asked with a ‘but-I’m-playing-my-guitar’ tone. When he plays, he doesn’t want to be disturbed.
She nodded. “Got a problem with that?” she asked with a sound of authority.
He just sighed. “Fine,” he said then grabbed the bag. Well, his mother is an exception.
He pushed the doorbell button of their new neighbors. It’s already dark and the sun is fully set.
Then the door opened and a girl in his age came out. And as soon as he saw two beautiful black eyes, he stopped breathing. His heart started to beat so fast and loud that he is scared the gorgeous lady in front of him might hear it.
The girl said something but he did not heard it. He just stared at the beautiful face of the girl in front of him, with the moon helping him to recognize how exceptional her beauty is.
He snapped out of his thoughts when the door slammed shut in front of him.
“W-wha-- hey.” He pressed the doorbell again. He waited for a few seconds but no one came out. He pressed it again but still, no one came out. When he pressed it again for the third time, the door finally opened with force.
“What do you want?” the beautiful girl asked slightly raising her voice. She managed to look cold while sounding annoyed. Cute.
“Cookies?” he said smiling awkwardly.
The girl looked at the cookies for three seconds before she took it.
“Thanks,” she said coldly then shut the door.
“Welcome,” he said, talking to the door.
‘What a cold girl, sexy,’ he thought.
