'Amazing!'

Season 1, Episode 1

We got called to the crime scene of a fourth suicide, I asked John to come along as he could be great use. The victim's back ground was fairly obvious, so it was simple and quick check-up. Anderson and his goons were there, their stupidity could infect a country, I kept mine and John's distance from them as they didn't need to interfere with John's head. Since our first meeting, I tried to retreat back to my usual self, sarcastic comments were made and I was sure to point out the drastic difference between my brilliant brain and their boring brain. I still wanted to be round John, though. When I explained the obvious facts about the victim and how she got there, John repeated something he said earlier, something I hardly ever hear. He said 'Amazing', as in, 'I'm Amazing'. Now I'm not used to being called anything but 'freak' so that will excuse the change in my pulse. When he said it, I felt something inside of me. Warmth. Like fireworks had exploded. I told him he expresses his admiration out loud and when he said he would stop, I told him it was ok. If Anderson was in the room he would of been howling at the obvious spark in my body language. And so, I quickly moved my attention back to the crime scene and left in a cab to go further explore it. I didn't think about before, there wasn't much to think about, after all, it was only because people don't tell me that.
