Reece rode through the horrendously paved greenland rode and gazed up at the sky. There were a lot of places where the northern lights were visible, but this felt like the place. The place he would find the forth. A gut yanking, teeth grinding feeling pulled him to this small Greenland town.
He screeched into the driveway of a old diner, which sign translated to 'BurrGerZ', this was going to suck. Opening the rusted art-deco door, Reece felt as though he had been slammed into the freaking 60's, but the dirty and dusty part not the okayish part.A old man ushered one of his miserable waiters towards his booth and watched carefully. Probably hoping he wouldn't be ratted out to a health inspector about roaches.
"Welcome to Burrgers," to add effect, the waitress shivered at the word burr. "What would you like."
Reece looked around the restaurant and closed his menu.
"The least deadly thing on the menu." The waitress whose name was Brynn, rolled her dull brown eyes and flipped her dead lock of poorly dyed blond hair back. Taking the menu, she shouted over the bar, "get him a 13, without the pickle!"
The old man looked pleased and set to work on the chip bag sitting on his beer belly. Reece sat back in the booth trying to think. Who would the heir be, would they be a girl or a boy? How would he even find them and how would he explain what they were?
Two high school boys walked in and sat at the bar as far away from the old man as possible.
"Did you here!" Boy 1 practically yelled at the waitress.
"Hear what?" Brynn asked at the counter.
"Whats her name is back."Boy 2 looked at the other with a smirk.
The waitress pursed her lips, "Wynnie?" Boy 1 looked at her as if she was stupid.
"Of course! Who else would it be?"Boy 2 ordered a malt and watched the two talk.
"What the hell is she doing back here?" She said
"She was kicked out of her school in Iceland. Apparently she caused another girl to have a mental breakdown or freaked her out or something."
"Then what is she doing here then!" The girl whined, pressing up against the bar," She might hurt me, Mikey!"
Reece watched the group of teenagers, they seemed to be stuck in the 60's. This whole town was stuck in the 60's. Reece listened closer, "Why did she leave in the first place?"
"Remember Taylor, she started messing with people. Freaking them out. Talking about how she could turn things to ash and shit!"the waitress went on. Reece shoved his arms in his coat as the words carried themselves toward him.
"I saw her earlier, on her motorcycle. The chick is gonna break her face on that black ice."
It had to be her, she had to be the fourth. He pushed the door open, ignoring the high school waitress as she wined to the lug-heads. Outside the ice was thickening and snow was falling. If this girl was really on the roads on a bike, she was going to get hurt.
After about an hour, he caught a trail, a trail of tires. Not just any tires, but 2 thick tires had placed that tattoo on the cement. Then he saw her. In all her glory.
On the back of a Kawasaki Ninja. She was beautiful, in a rough, girly, I-can-do-anything-I-want-to kind of way.
Then she crashed. A flurry of white and pale pink flying from the bike and onto the snow. Her motorcycle flew with her and landed on her.
