"Hey! Hey, get up! I need you to open your eyes!" Those words woke her up. Everything hurt and she didn't want to move. Oppening her eyes, Wynnie glanced up into a pair of grey irises.
"Wh-"Her voice was hoarse and she could barely breath, it felt like a anvil was resting on her chest.
A face came into full view; grey eyes, blonde hair, and tan skin. She tried to prop herself up but her arms wouldn't move. She tried her legs but they only responded with a shot of paralyzing pain, she whimpered.
"Help me!" She wheezed. Her chest pulsed angrily, she knew she must of fractured a rib or something.
The blonde boy came closer and wrapped his hands around something. Carefully she tried to scoot up but couldn't, the boy told her to stay down and grunted. The crushing pain left her chest, he stood heaving her heavy bike with him and pushing it away from her.
She could move her right arm a little and held it out for her savior. He knelt down again and brought her up an inch off the ground. White hot fire shot through her spine and she screamed. She defiantly broke something. Blondies eyes locked onto Wynnie and he gently layed her back down.
"Where does it hurt?"
She whimpered pathetically bringing her arm to her chest as if it would protect her from the pain.
"Your chest." Wynnie shook her head once, causing her to wince, through the corner of her eye she could see red blood dripping down her skin."Spine. Legs. Arm." She wheezed. He nodded and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Im going to fix it, okay? I need you to stay very still or it'll hurt you. Can you do that?" She nodded slightly again, hissing as her neck blazed with fresh pain. He gripped her sides tighter and sat with his eyes closed. It took two seconds before she felt it.
"Aghhhh!" Her cries went unheard by the blonde boy. Her spine felt like it was being ripped apart and her leg like a saw was hacking it off. Her arm was the least of the pain, only dull stabs of pain, but she didn't move, laid ramrod straight in the snow. The boy opened his eyes and glanced into her eyes. The pain stopped, everything felt sore and she was exhausted but the pain was gone.
The boy gently smoothed her hair from her sweat covered. Wynnie's muscles relaxed one by one as she stared up at his gray eyes. "You will be able to sit up now." She stretched her toes and fingers, testing them. They were fine, so was her back as she slid slowly up. She coughed slightly and without any thought pulled the boy into a hug. He uncomfortably patted her before moving back and she did the same.
"I don't know what you did, but thank you so much." He shrugged and extended a hand, "Reece." Was all he said. She took his hand and curled her lips into a tired but grateful smile. "Wynnie." She coughed again, this time from the cold, it wasn't safe for her to be in the snow this long. Her alabaster skin kept her from any kind of weather exposure. The snow was already falling hard and she was shivering. Reece stood silently and pulled her up by their clasped hands. He glanced once at the wreckage then back at the white haired rider. Wynnie nodded once and followed the blonde boy to his sleek black car that was now dusted by pearly white flakes. He went to the passenger side and opened the door for her. She slid in, shocked by the sudden warmness of the car. Reece was around the car in a second and sliding into his own seat, seemingly unaffected by the weather, not even his cheeks gave any indication he was just in the snow. Wynnie still shivered, her blue tinted lips shaking. She hated that the cold affected her so easily, hated that she couldn't stand the sun for more than an hour without having third degree burns. She couldn't understand why her DNA betrayed her, why it made her pale and pink eyed but it did and she hated it. Reece glanced over at her awkwardly, and she couldn't hold it in any longer.
"How did you do it?" She rushed out, still stunned that he had only held her sides and she was healed. Reece breathed heavily as though he was waiting for that question. He didn't answer right away, but grabbed Wynnie by one of her covered hands and jerked it towards him. He pulled off the thin peach glove and was surprised by the scorched skin underneath, angry scars in pink dotted the tops of her hands and slashes where cuts had been leaving long thin lines over her knuckles. He flipped her pale hand over to her palm and bent the fingers into a claw, "show me the flames." He commanded. Wynnie's pink eyes widened, he knew? He motioned her on and she showed him. She squeezed her hand into a fist and orange flames enveloped it, Reece smiled lightly. He went to grab the still flaming hand, cupping his hand over the fire. Wynnie gasped as his tan skin began to burn then pulled away sharply shoving her hand, now flame free in her glove. She looked back at his hand and gasped as the skin sewed itself back together looking like it was never burnt. Reece grinned at her expression, clearly amused.
"You see Wynnie, I'm an heir to the 3rd household and you are the heir of the 4th houshold and I am here to take you home."
