Karen Oaks, Brooklyn (Brooke) Harper and Madison (Maddie) Thompson, best friends, were walking through the halls of Clear Creek Elementary School. They were on their way to lunch, and they were all starving. Everyone, that is, except Brooke, who was eating while they were in the classroom.
Their school's mascot was named Rocky. Rocky the Rooster. The school's colors were blue and yellow, like the colors of Rocky himself. Rocky's beak and legs were yellow, while the rest of his body was blue. Remember this information now; For your own safety.
As they walked through the front lobby, they saw a painting of Rocky on the tile that had always been there. They smiled as they walked by. They also smiled at the pictures students had drawn and colored of him, which were hanging around the lobby.
They were fifth grade students at the school, and they loved to do everything they could together. They loved adventures. Well, it's more Brooke who's the adventurous one.
There were also some boys that stood out to the three girls. Their names were Max Jensen, Alex Stevenson, and Lincoln Taylor. At their age, almost everyone in their grade 'liked' someone. It just so happened that Max liked Karen, Lincoln liked Maddie, and Alex liked Brooke, and the girls felt the same about the boys.
