The Gainsay

Author's POV:

Harsha brought her back to the room and soon everyone left to the kingdom of Arihant and Aditi's.

Avaya went along with them like a dead corpse. They provided her with a luxury royal suite but nothing changed.

Harsha's parents, Aayod's parents and Avaya's parents along with Kiaan and Avasya sat in the royal chamber.

Aditi initiated the discussion first.

" Listen Shlok and Nidhi! Our intention is never to take my daughter, I mean our daughter away from you people." Aditi said and Nidhi's eyes teared when they mentioned Avaya as their daughter too.

" Thank you very much for taking care of our daughter. But we got our princess back whom we thought as dead. Every parent want their daughter with them right? How can we give away our only child? Please understand!" Arihant requested.

" I understand King. I have no objection if Avaya says yes." Shlok said while his eyes watered.

" Thank you very much. You can come when ever you want to meet our daughter. We have no objection." Aditi said holding Nidhi's hands.

Everyone looked at the princess to see her looking at her parents all broken.

" I'll live with you but I have a proposition. And no one, I mean no one will say The Gainsay." Avaya declared looking at her prince.

" As you wish my princess." Arihant said.

" I'll live 3 days in Mumma and Papa's Kingdom, 3 days with Ma and Dad and the remaining one day in King Indranil's kingdom. And like I said no one will gainsay." Avaya said bringing out the authority in her voice making everyone happy.

Queen Kaivalya sensed the sense of equality and justice in Avaya's decision. That's the quality of a royal.

" Live long my child!" Kaivalya said kissing Avaya's forehead.

" We agree." Everyone said in unison.

Avaya walked away from the room leaving everyone to discuss but Harsha pulled her into his suite pinning her to the wall.

" I'm really sorry princess." Harsha said kissing her forehead tenderly. A lone tear left her eye making his heart prick.

" Why?" Is the only word that left her mouth.

" I want my princess all safe and sound." Harsha said looking into her orbs.

" I'm not yours Harsha." Avaya said looking into his soft brown eyes.

May not be now but soon you will be. Harsha thought.

" You are the princess of this whole kingdom and even mine. I'm no exception." Harsha said pulling her closer.

The goosebumps arose when Harsha touched her bare waist. She didn't feel the electricity passing though her body but she felt safe in his arms.

" Do you hate me my Ava?" Harsha asked caressing her cheek gently making her close her eyes.

" No. I don't Harsha." Avaya spoke still closing her eyes.

"  You know, you have been a Ruffian Princess till now Ava." Harsha chuckled making her fume in anger.

" I was never ruffian Harsha. Name an incident where I've been violent." Avaya asked her Princeps.

" The first feud. You literally hit me. Isn't this one incident enough to say that you are violent?" Harsha asked inching closer to her.

" I didn't mean to hit you that day Harsha. I did it in the heat of the moment." Avaya said embarrassed not noticing the proximity between them.

Harsha inched closer to her making her eyes close involuntarily. He was about to reach her lips when Kiaan entered his suite yelling his name.

Harsha moved back immediately making her gasp in surprise and shock. She didn't realise that he was about to kiss her.

" I didn't see anything." Kiaan said closing his eyes.

" I'm sorry princess." Harsha said leaving her hand.

Avaya pushed and ran away from him. The distance between them did no good for them except creating the unwanted feelings in Ava's heart.

Way to spoil everything! Harsha's brain and heart yelled in unison.

" Sorry bro! I didn't mean to interrupt." Kiaan said mischievously.

He is a royal just by blood but seeing his habits and manners no one will say that he is a blue blooded prince.

" But you did Kiaan!" Harsha glared.

" What's the thing that you came here running?" Harsha asked composing himself.

" How can you be so comfortable following all the rules and protocols of the royals? I'm not gonna teach my daughter all these. I've been a rule breaker and she will be too." Kiaan snorted.

" Is this what you wanna say?" Harsha growled.

" No. It's important. Avaya will be staying with King Arihant and Queen Aditi for the successive 3 days starting from today. And further 3 days are in the town with Mr. Shlok and Mrs. Nidhi while the rest one day of the week in your kingdom." Kiaan said which brought a small smile on Harsha's lips.

" Who scheduled it?" Harsha asked.

" Princess Avaya herself. There is going to be a festival on the arrival of The Lost Princess." Kiaan announced.

" Great then. She will be announced as the princess. I've seen many people hurt and sad mourning over their princess. The kingdom is going to get it's light back and become complete with her arrival." Harsha spoke making his brother in law nod.

" Your princess is going to be a rule breaker and a ruffian just like me Princeps Harsha Vardhan." Kiaan smirked.

" I agree on that King Kiaan." Harsha said sighing. Just thinking of handling her in the future itself is pushing him into nightmares in the heaven.
