The prowling shadow
Howling in the darkness
Looking for its prey
You feel it coming
The sound of its paws
Beating the forest floor
You want to run
But can't move
As if frozen
It gets closer and closer
Your heart beat gets faster and faster
Everything falls silent
No howling
No beating of paws
Nothing
Yellow eyes
appear in the brush
They're just staring
Straight into your eyes
They come out the brush
Along with its big black body
Hot steam blowing out its nose and
mouth
Sharp white teeth ripping out
It comes towards you
And stops ready to pounce
But then you scream
What do you want
All of a sudden
A voice appears into your head and says
You
You wake up again
Same as the night before
But this time
You feel an agonizing burning pain
On your left forearm
There you see
A wolf bite
You can't believe it
You just thought it was a dream
Just a nightmare
But you were wrong
