The second bell rings and we all sit down in our places just as out form teacher Mrs Jones strides in.
"Good morning class!" she chirps in her usual high pitched voce. Suddenly everyone, including me, starts talking to each other and Mrs Jones let's out an annoyed sigh.
"Now, I hope you all had a great weekend and I see that you are all very exited to tell each other all about it but could you please, get out your reading books and read silently. And I mean you Gemma" she says staring straight at me. I smile innocently and pull out my reading book.
Mrs Jones is really nice but sometimes I can't help but get the feeling she doesn't like me. Well I guess I could have something to do with the fact that she is always having to talk to my teachers and apologize on my behalf for being disruptive in class. Well I can't say I'm exactly the model student but everyone does bad things sometimes right?
"Gemma wright?" Miss calls
"What? Oh right. Yes miss!" I smile sheepishly.
"You need to be paying more attention in the future miss wright." She says sternly.
"Yes miss" I say rolling my eyes. Someone sniggers and she suddenly stands up eyes full of fury.
"GEMMA WRIGHT STAND OUTSIDE THAT DOOR AT ONCE!!"
She screams pointing furiously at the door. I stand up and hang my head in shame. Everyone is staring at me and I feel their eyes burning into the back of my neck. I slowly walk to the door. Mrs Jones silently composes herself and says quietly
"I will talk to you in a minute carry on reading class".
As I pass Michelle I hear her snickering and I give her a look, that shuts her up.
I smile satisfyingly to myself as I go outside the door. Although I don't enjoy getting into trouble the look on Mrs Jones's face when I annoy her is certainly worth it. And besides I'm so used to getting in trouble I'm barely phased by it. what's the worst they could do? give me detention? Although boring they don't really teach me anything. I don't understand how boring a kid to death is discipline. Suddenly Mrs Jones comes out the door. Here we go, the same old "im very disappointed in you Gemma"
" you need to try harder in school Gemma"
"You'd do really well in school if you just did some work Gemma""You can go and sit down now Gemma, and I don't want to see you out here again you understand?" I'm snapped out of my daydream and look up to see Mrs Jones smiling at me.
"Yes Mrs Jones I won't do it again"
I slowly open the door and walk into my formroom I see a few people quickly put their heads down and pretend they are just really interested in their books. I don't care anyway it happens all the time. I walk back to my seat and sit down and pick up my book and begin to read.
