                  **UNEDITED.

On getting home, I noticed my father wasn't around.  Lord bless my soul

Heading directly to the kitchen, I made myself a quick lunch and headed up to my room. I always try to avoid an encounter with him.

On entering my room, I noticed the scattered state of my room.

Okay? Who must have done this anyway?
Because I clearly remember the state my room was in before I left for school this morning.  And it was nothing like this.

Deciding to ignore whatever it is, I made my way to the bathroom and took a quick shower.
Washing away all the dirt and stress from one of my favorite places to be.      Note the sarcasm.

Feeling refreshed and clean as new, I laid down on my bed while searching for the latest updates on the novels I follow on wattpad.

Munching on my lunch and reading novels, I felt so at peace with myself.

Not up to one hour into my chilling, I started feeling sleepy and dozed off anyway.

Waking up around midnight to the sound of crashing downstairs, I decided to mind my business this time around.

Y'all know what happened to me the last time I didn't mind my business.

Getting up, I realized much to my shock that I didn't do my assignments.

To even think that some people consider me a serious student.
How do they even do this classification. Cos trust me, I don't even look nerdy to start with... I just look like a sack of potatoes with a little touch of fineness. You can imagine.  With all the eye bags and frequent dozing off during classes, you can't sanely classify me a nerd.

But let's be sincere anyway, I'm a straight A student. Not minding the sleepless nights and emotional trauma, I still deliver.
Winks at my inner self...

After several hours of school work, I finally decided to take the much needed beauty sleep.

Did I mention how much I love sleeping?  Okay now you know... I can sleep for three-quarter of a whole day and still feel sleepy.
Yeah, that's who I am!  A sleepy head.

Suddenly, my surrounding was enveloped in ink black darkness.
To top it up, I heard an echo of a sinister laughter somewhere in the dark.
I felt goosebumps all over my body. The hairs on the back of my neck stood upon the sound of the laughter.

I could feel my heart beating at a rate which I consider extremely abnormal. I could have tachycardia  right now.

I moved into a corner in fear of whatever was hidden in the dark. I was shivering in fear while trying so hard to see if I could make out the shape of anything in the room.

Slowly, the feeling of claustrophobia embraced me in its cold arms.
I started hyperventilating while at the same time trying to stop my breath from being raspy.

I knew one day, I was going to die. After all, we all will.  But, to think my death will be this soon.
To even think that I'll have no loved ones surrounding me before my death was a very painful thought on its own.

Shutting my eyes so tight, I concentrated on regulating my breathing pattern.

From nowhere, I felt a hand tightly gripping unto my neck with so much force I concluded I was not going to see another day.
