Introductions were made and Tenshi learned that the huntress went by the name Lou Fairidia and the swordswoman was called Kara Daydraft. Owen told the shapeshifter that the three of them had met a few days prior on their way to the city and decided to travel together. While they went into their rooms to get rid of their backpacks Tenshi decided to probe him a little. "I hope you don't mind, I couldn't help but listen in on your conversation earlier. You said something about the Broken Wings?"

Owen whipped around so fast, he actually hit his head on a bookshelf next to him. "Why yes- AH, goddammit-"  A few curses in elvish followed.

Dexterity Saving Throw: 16 +1 = 17

Luckily Owen managed to step back and catch the few books that fell out after the impact. He hastily put them back and turned to face his new friend. "We are indeed looking for the famous adventurers guild called the Broken Wings! We looked around town all day but no one answered us. The people either pretend to not know anything or outright tell us they do not want to talk." Tenshi sat down in the comfortable windowsill and crossed their arms. "Well of course. The guild has done a lot of good for the people here, but they too have their enemies. A suspicious group like you walking around and asking so blatantly is bound to get no response."

Charisma Saving Throw for Owen: 9 + 3 = 12

Tenshi could see Owen turning various shades of red. "But. Are we really that suspicious? We were just asking..." A deep sigh escaped Tenshis mouth. "It's fine. At least you are sure to have gained the guilds attention that way. What do you want from them anyway?" They had to admit they were intrigued. After all, they had yet to tell their new friend that they were actually a member of the Broken Wings. The guild was famous for accepting a variety of requests and their flexibility regarding payment. They made sure that everyone was able to afford their services if the need should arise. "We want to join them of course. All three of us.", Owen responded with a soft smile.

Insight Check from Tenshi: 12 + 2 = 14

Tenshi couldn't really tell but they firmly believed that his response was honest. Their hand moved to their chin almost naturally as they got lost in thought. "I might be able to help you, if that's the case. But you can be sure that the guild will test you first." "We were expecting nothing less, security is important to uphold such a good reputation after all." Owen's upbeat response forced Tenshi to smile. It was always nice to be around optimistic individuals. "Then it's decided. Let's meet up with the other two."

Together they ventured down the stairs back into the tavern. Lou and Kara were already sitting at the bar again, talking about gods and the world.

Perception Checks from Kara and Lou: Lou: 4 + 1 = 5; Kara: 13 + 0 = 13

The two were so lost in their conversation, they almost didn't notice their two companions, but Tenshi and Owen weren't trying to be stealthy. "There you are! Looks like you're getting along well, huh?", Lou grinned as she turned to face them after Kara had raised her head in their direction. "I would like to think so. Tenshi actually offered to help us with the Broken Wings!" The shapeshifter nodded. "I figured it's in everyone's best interest that I help you now instead of letting you aimlessly run around the city. But I believe a proper introduction is necessary first." Three pairs of curios eyes laid on them. The attention made them a little uncomfortable, but they managed to shake it off. This was their job after all, even if they hadn't planned on working for the next few days. "As you know, my name is Tenshi. I am a recruiter for the adventurers guild called the Broken Wings. If you are really interested in joining then I am willing to supervise your test."

Insight Checks from all except Tenshi: Lou: 19 + 1 = 20; Kara: 4 + 0 = 4; Owen: 3 + 4 = 7

Both Owen and Kara were not entirely sure if this was true or if they were just trying to mess with their new roommates. However, Kara didn't necessarily care anyway. The only thing that could pique the warriors interest was fighting and bloodshed. Everything else pretty much came second. Owen was startled but hopeful. The shapeshifter had no reason to lie to them. Lou was the only one who could determine with absolute certainty that their new acquaintance was telling nothing but the truth. They were indeed a recruiter for the Broken Wings, no doubt about it. "What a nice coincidence! We are so lucky we met you Tenshi!", she exclaimed while happily clapping her hands together. Tenshi found her enthusiasm refreshing. "Indeed, I have to agree. Please take care of us.", Owen said as he bowed respectfully. "Oh I will. But please, there's no need to be so formal." Tenshi extended their hand with a smile and Owen gladly took it.
