*two months later*
"Eww, stop kissing!" Fanning screams, pushing me and Toby apart.
"Yeah.....stop......attacking......My brother." Red says between virtual gun fire from the PlayStation4.
"Red don't be rude." Toby says, pulling me close to him. "Say sorry to Tris."
"She's my sister, I meant to be rude to her." Red snaps, Toby's about to shout at him but I silently sneak up behind him and grab him, hanging him upside down in front of me-with some extra height from the table letting me stand on it.
"What did you say?""Don't hurt me Tris! I'm sorry." He exclaims, trying to make a grab at the floor.
"Okay, that's enough." Tobias pulls Red from my grip and lifts me off the table and holds me captive in his lap. I pull against him.
"Noooo, Toby I was dealing with him!" I complain, he ignores me and looks at the clock. Almost 9pm.
"Guys, time to bed." Fanning doesn't even complain as Toby let's go of me and I pick her up, she lets her head rest on her shoulder and even though she should he growing out of it, her thumb travels into her mouth.
Her bedroom is white with pink fairy lights strung around everywhere with pink fluffy rugs and toys everywhere. I help her into her pyjamas and brush her teeth and she's asleep the second i place her in her tiny bed. I turn on her beside light since she is scared of the dark and this projects a silhouette of light of Peter Pan on her wall which she believes protects her. When I walk out I see Toby wrestling Red and Justice into bed in there twin bedroom. A few minutes later he walks out and closes the door, resting against the wall and sighing, running his hands through his hair. He looks up at me.
"I guess you want to sleep with me again." He says irritable. I shake my head.
"No, it's fine, I'll sleep in my room." I say. "Can I just grab my pyjamas from yours?" I ask quietly."Just sleep in my room Tris." He says with a 'can't be f*cked with this' voice. I sigh and go to grab my pyjamas before walking past him to my room which is at the opposite end of the corridor from his.
"Tris, I'm sorry." I hear a weak apology from the other end of the corridor.
"Tobias it's fine seriously. Have a good sleep." I say, before heading into my bedroom. It's just a white room with a light wood bed with white duvet, sheets everything. It was the guest room and we never got round to decorating it since I always sleep with Tobias. I slip on my checked pyjama pants and a black spaghetti strap tank top and tie my hair in a messy bun before heading to bed.
I love Tobias but sometimes he doesn't really understand how well I can pick up on tiny changes in anyone's mood, it's how I was trained. So I he doesn't want me around, even the tiniest bit, I can tell and the way I've been trained mean that I immediately act on the way people feel and often move away from them to give them the space they subconsciously or consciously want.
I'm broken from my thoughts by a knock on my door.
"Tris, please come and sleep with me." I roll over to look at the door way where Toby stands looking pained. "I need to know that your safe and haven't run away."
"Why would I run away Toby?" I say softly as he walks over and lifts me out the bed without my permission.
"Toby, I think you need to spend a night without me." I say. "I can tell that you didn't want me earlier."
"I'm sorry, I was irritated with the boys. I forget that you can read my emotions." I says, pushing the door to his bedroom open with his foot. I love Four's bedroom, it has built in book shelves and deals with cool blue lighting, a green fluffy carpet and a double bed. Because Toby doesn't like small spaces, the ceiling in painted like the sky.
Toby places me on the bed and changes into a sweat pants and no shirt. He climbs into the bed and wraps his arms around me.
"Tris, my uncle is moving in tomorrow so you and I can concentrate on school and me on my graduation. But it means you'll have to share a room with me, permanently."
"Four, I'm not doing that to you. I know you love me, but you also get irritated by me so I'll stay at my old house." I'm referring to next door which still belongs to me but is empty.
"Very funny Tris." Tobias says, adjusting his position in the bed and pulling me closer, if possible. I don't even try to respond, he won't listen.
