"Will you shut up? Ugh." I moan as I turn off the alarm.
I rubbed my eyes tiredly as I only got a few hours of sleep from staying up doing the stupid homework I was assigned. I looked at the clock on my alarm as it read 7:30. I'm late, but why do I care? Slowly, I got out of my bed and walked towards the bathroom to get ready for school. After I was done, I walked downstairs to the kitchen just to find an empty round table with a sandwich and a note.
Sorry, I couldn't stay for breakfast. Please enjoy this sandwich! - Grandma
I quickly ate the sandwich after reading the note and headed to school. Taking the T was incredibly dull as there was no one I knew was on the same bus. I waited for a few minutes because I missed the first bus by oversleeping. When I got there, it was ten minutes after the first period. I noticed that six other boys were also late. All of them were people that I didn't know too much about. I believe their names are Namjoon, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook, not too sure though, I've only bumped into them a few times. A teacher was at the school's entrance, catching anyone late and giving them a punishment for it. I know we are late, but seriously? School is bad enough as it is, why do you have to make it worse for us?
"Why are you late?" The teacher asked the seven of us, using a tone that gives us a clear hint that he is not in a good mood.
"My bus was late." Explained Namjoon.
"I'm not late. You're early." Mumbled Yoongi.
"Mister! I will not tolerate such disrespect!" The teacher seemed kind of mad at Yoongi for his response.
"Whatever."
"Sorry, mister! It won't happen again!" Jimin apologized and bowed on Yoongi's behalf.
"I went to the wrong school by accident." Now explain, Taehyung, how do you go to the wrong school by accident when you have been to this school for the past few years?
Jungkook, Hoseok, and I didn't answer, but the teacher didn't care at this point. According to the teacher, we have to clean out the school's storage room located in the back of the school that no one, except for the principal, goes to.
As the doors of the dull room creaked open, a lot of dirt and dust was released. Inside it was very dusty and looked very old, and it was as if it hadn't been cleaned for a few years so that seven late unsuspecting students would be chosen and forced to clean it. The walls were slightly peeled, and the paint of the room was worn and dulled out like it was abandoned. There were a few windows that let light into the room but had a high condensation of grime. Unused chairs and tables were stacked and put to the side, leaving a space in the middle of the room. I'm glad I held my breath and closed my mouth before entering, unlike our tormentor- I mean, teacher, who got a ton of dust flying at him.
We were handed some dustpans and brooms as well as wipes to clean the cabinets, tools, tables, and chairs that the storage room contained. Sure, it sucked, but hey, at least we got to skip class and parts of the school day in order to do this task.
"So, what are your names again?" Jimin questioned.
"I'm Kim Seokjin, but don't we bump into each other all the time?" I asked back.
"Oh yeah, we do, sorry I forgot, its jus-"
"Dude, we all have been in the same school for a few years already." Jungkook interrupted.
