December, 2017
The spreadsheet finally gave her a headache. Deciding it was finally time for her to grab something to eat and head home, she turned off her laptop and arranged her files for easier review on Monday.
Massaging the back of her neck while drinking all the water in her mug, she saw that it was past 10 pm already. Locking her office, she walked out from her wedding organizer agency "Perfect Day" and went out through the glass doors, not forgetting to nod at the security officer outside.
What should she buy for dinner? Mentally trying to remember the stock of food in her fridge, she didn't hear when someone called her name, noticing it only after the third time.
"Kim Go Eun-ssi!"
She turned around before smiling at the person walking towards her.
"Lee Min Ho-ssi."
"Annyeong! Heading home?"
"Ne. I've had enough of that place. I need to start my weekend now."
He chuckled. "Let me guess, year-end reports?"
She sighed in exhaustion.
"Ne. Great guess" she answered, walking with him to enter the elevator.
"The profit is rising or not? That's what we should know beyond all the financial crap" he asked, finger pushing the button of the basement level 2.
"Profit is rising, yay."
The guy beside her looked amused.
"You don't sound happy though your profit is rising."
"Well. It has to be better than last year. I mean, people got married more in 2017 than in 2016. We've worked harder, it would be a shame if we don't make more money. That would mean we didn't count right."
"Glad to know people these days still believe in marriage."
"They better. Or else what will I pay my employees with?"
"Very true" he said, as the lift stopped at the basement where they parked their cars.
"How's Italian food business these days?"
"Awesome."
"Your restaurant looks full no matter when I pass by."
"I know. We do sell great food" he responded with pride.
"Great food is amazing" she said without really thinking.
Min Ho smiled at her walking figure. "You are really tired aren't you, Kim Go Eun-ssi?"
"Huh? I am. I guess I really am."
"Would you like to have dinner with me? My treat. I could use some company."
"Um......"
"Unless you have other plans than going home?"
"No. Not really. My mind is full with only three things. Food, shower, and sleep."
"Nice plan. But could you postpone showering for another hour? I promise I won't bore you and feed you a good meal."
"Italian?"
"Nah. Sometimes I'm sick with the smell of cheese too, so let's eat something else."
She considered for a while. Well, maybe one hour of free dinner with the nice Lee Min Ho-ssi wouldn't hurt. The only other plan she had in mind was dinner in front of her TV.
"Alright. Please give me a tasty dinner. Then I'll be forever grateful to you."
He laughed, "Jjinjja? I'll ask a payback one day" he warned her with a teasing tone.
