puffball had just heard the news, four was gone. puffball was puzzled as to what happened, so she went to investigate, although still wrapped in tape from the last episode. bell told puffball a brief recap of the events that led to four going missing. puffball was concerned for four's safety, but she wasn't that attached to four's company, so she wasn't too sad about it. donut took over as host, stating that he "had the factor of four within him." whatever that means. donut pulled out a rainbow fluid contained in a plastic syringe, and injected himself with it, explaining that this contained "the twinkle of contagion" and that it was part of the challenge to escape it, and that the team infected with twinkle after the three hour time limit would be up for elimination. puffball knew that she should stick with bell to protect her from the twinkle, it's not like puffballs eyes would be able to catch sight of the twinkle, seeing as her eyes were taped shut.
the twinkle got passed around rapidly as everyone was huddled together, eventually drifting off to iance, where match and bubble decided to have a staring contest to create sounds to make anyone curious. match quickly passed the twinkle onto pen, who went to investigate the sounds emitting from the intense contest. pen saw free food nearby, and decided that the best way to pass the twinkle was to simply tell them to look at him. needless to say, it didn't work. marker eventually got infected after pen bribed marker with tossable dirt, but at least bell was safe from the pain that was the twinkle.
nothing else really happened between free food until the dead end of the competition, where taco told bell to look at the moon, since it was beautiful that night. bell turned too fast for puffball to block it, and she got infected with the twinkle. puffball knew she had to redeem herself. she expanded to rip the tape from her body, then darted her eyes around for a place to transfer the twinkle. only 30 extremely elongated seconds were left. she then looked over at the losers' clay dome. she knew what she had to do.
puffball took a deep breath and thrusted towards the dome, leaving a dent in it. the losers were startled, curious as to what was going on, clock went towards the dent, staring at it until something happened. 2 elongated seconds remained. puffball then thrusted towards the dome, even harder this time, and broke through. at the last second, clock stared at puffball, who was glowing with white. she opened her eyes, and clock became the last person infected with the twinkle. puffball then sat on the grass, panting. bell watched the event go down in horror, she blankly stared at puffball for a few seconds, then ran over to her with intense worry,
"puffball! are you alright? tell me!!" bell frantically yelled out, she was on the verge of tears, she didn't want her best friend to be hurt.
"yeah.. i'm alright." puffball said, smiling. she didn't seem affected at all. she even giggled a little bit. bell took a sigh of relief. "i did it for you, bell. you're a ray of sunshine on a rainy day to me."
"i.. i, uh..." bell stuttered, she then stroked her face against puffball, making puffball blush. she wished that she could stroke puffball's fur coat.. but that would require limbs. puffball got up and told her something..
"you know, the moon is beautiful tonight, but... you wanna know what else is beautiful?" puffball enquired, with a smile on her face.
"wh... what would it be?" bell confusedly replied. puffball took a few seconds, she breathed in, and then confessed.
"you. you're beautiful, bell. i've always loved you. i've loved your care towards me, i've loved your spirit, your voice, your... everything. i love you... do you love me too?"
bell blushed and sat down, looking puffball in the eyes. "you know... i love you too. you've always been there for me, you've always cared. you're the only person i've ever truly cared about. you make me laugh, you make me smile, you... you're special in every way. you wanna know why? because..." bell started tearing up, "because... tonight, i'm going to ask you, one. thing." puffball looked at her, wiping her tears away, "will you be my girlfriend?" puffballs heart started beating out of her chest, she began to cry tears of joy, then she yelled, as happily as she could,
"YES!!!!" puffball yelled as she stroked and swung bell around with true joy. she laughed as she twirled her around, bell giving puffball a kiss on the forehead. everyone was looking at them. puffball didn't care who was watching, she had the love of her life with her. she felt like she was on top of the world. nothing would bring her down that night. eraser approached puffball with a smile,
"i knew it. i knew this was gonna happen." eraser called out blocky, of which he ran towards the scene, "guess what?"
"huh?" blocky confusedly grunted,
"they're dating." eraser whispered, pointing at puffball and bell.
"you know, i would make some funny and sarcastic comment right about now, but even i have to admit that this is something special." blocky approached the lovers, "i wish you guys well for your... adventures through some medieval realm to fight a big dragon, or... laughing together at a comedy club, or... whatever couples do these days. i dunno, i'll get back to my poly relationship with two, quite amazing men." blocky then winked at eraser and waved at pen, "seeya, you two." making a peace sign as he ran back over to pen. bell and puffball knew that what was in store for them, would be magical.
