✨Kokichi's pov✨
I set down my phone on the end of the bed.

"I might as well get it over with now huh?" I whisper to myself. To be completely honest I have no idea how I'm going to say it. Just... 'I like you?' Or is that too forward and out of nowhere. If Kaede were here she would help me... kinda. Fuck it. Here goes nothing.

"Hey shuichi?" EWWW EW EW.

I'm not doing it never mind. Forget it. This is already humiliating and I haven't even said anything other then 'hey'.

"What's up?" I really need Kaede right now. What would she even say? She'd probably say  something like 'no take backs >:( do it now.' Or something like that.

"Can I tell you something kinda important? Don't laugh though."

"Go on, I'm listening."

"It's not too big of a deal or anything but,
I like you. In like- a boyfriend type of way? Uh.." OHHH MY GOD WHAT AM I DOING EWWW.

I could see his eyes widen. We just kinda stood there for a couple minutes. This is getting very awkward. Please just break
the silence.

"You like me?"

"Ummm yeah. Was I not clear about that? I-I'm sorry this is weird." I replied slightly uncomfortable with the awkward energy in
the room.

"No! no, it's not weird I'm just surprised. I like you too." He spoke softly as he touched the back of his neck and gave an uncomfortable smile. Is he being serious? I can't imagine
him lying about something like this though.

He likes me. WOW. I'm really shocked. I'm not even sure how to respond though. In a way this is even more awkward then before. I can feel my face turning red. I start to play with the end of my jacket sleeve.

We kinda sat on his bet just staring downward for a solid four minutes. I NEED to say something. Silence literally kills me.

"So, what now?"

"I mean.. I genuinely don't know."

He's so perfect.

"So are we just gonna sit here?"

"Yeah. Probably."

Well in that case..

I crawl over to the opposite end of the bed to where Shuichi is sitting. I sit myself right beside him and give him a hug. (Not one of those awkward side hugs though. Like- an actually good snuggly type of hug. It's cute.) The warmth of his body felt really nice against my own, which was cold and anxious from confessing to him. Shuichi puts his arms around me and hugs back. This is great.

To be completely honest I thought that confessing to me crush would be a lot more sweet and romantic or something. But I guess this is a lot more realistic. Life isn't exactly a fanfic, yeah? Well... haha anyways, I'm just happy that I confessed.

Ding

My phone.

I pick it up and see a text from Kaede.

Kaede: I'm sorry I keep texting you but I'm literally SO bored. Everyone else is 'busy' but I'm slowly starting to think ppl are just avoiding me. HAH

Kokichi: first of all, big mood. Second, I DID ITTTTTT. I TOLD HIM.

Kaede: OMG ALREADY???? IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU:)

Kokichi: THXXXXX:) IT WAS REALLY AWKWARD THOUGH- BUT IM STILL HAPPY:)

Kaede: so.... are you guys like- dating?

Kokichi: uhh that's a good question. I'm not really that sure.

Kaede: ask.

Kokichi: okay bet.

"Hey Shuichi?" I day looking back up from my phone.

"Yeah?" He says with a soft smile.

"Are we like.. dating?"

"Do you want to be?"

"I mean yeah? But I really don't care."

"I guess I don't have much or a preference either. But if you're fine with it, then sure. We are now officially dating."

YAY.

"Okay cool. I'm happy." I say, resting my chin on his shoulder.

"Me too."

Okay. This chapter was kinda really stupid but it happened:) Sorry this took so long to update. I'm slowly starting to lose track of time now that school is back. I'm really grateful for your guy's patience with me though. I never thought anyone would like this dumb story, but it makes me so much more motivated. Thank you:)
