THE SUMMER OF 1985 had begun. which meant three months of skating on rooftops, watching the newest movies, admiring the sunset and hanging with friends had officially started.

the summer breeze brushed passed a certain group of nine as they stared off into the pure blue bliss that is the ocean. the waves crashed freely against the sand, splashing their feet ever so slightly.

it was the first day of summer vacation, aka every students favourite time of year. no more worries of school or homework, just three months of pleasure.

however for these group of teens their summer started off a bit rocky. they had made a vow to have the summer of their lives, but they were having trouble producing ideas.

that was until Mike Wheeler had come up with what seemed like a crazy idea.

"guys, what if we checked out that abandoned warehouse on Curbson road", Mike suggested out of the blue, breaking the peaceful silence the group had been in.

"you mean the place where the only people to ever enter were never seen again...yeah no!", Max snarked back, rolling her eyes.

"that is just a myth you don't actually believe that people go missing there", Isabella, better known as Izzy, responded.

"yeah let's go break into a fucking crackhead house. that's totally reasonable!", Carson states throwing his hands up into the air for a brief moment

"come on, it'll be fun and mysterious", Mike whined, resorting to puppy dog eyes in hopes of convincing his peers.

"i'm in", El stated to Mikes pleasure, now he just has to convince the others.

"you know what, screw it i'm in too", Izzy smiled placing a small kiss on Mikes cheek. the two had begun dating a couple months ago, and surprisingly it hadn't seemed to mess with the group at all.

"you already know i'm in", Lucas smiled cheekily.

"are you guys stupid?", Max snarked once more.

"stupidity is just in our nature Max", Josephine, who preferred to be called Josie or Jo, stated, "i'm in too"

"If everyone is in, i guess i will too", Beatrice said removing her gaze from the ocean and onto the group in front of her.

"i don't want to be alone soo...",  Will looked down at his fingers, that were drawing in the sand.

"Maxxxxxxxx?? pleaseeeeeeeeeeseeeee", Mike begged, once again resorting to puppy dog eyes.

"fine!", Max groaned, "as long as you shut up!"

"Carson? cmon we promise no ghosts will kill you", Jo commented with a smirk.

"guys this is incredibly stupid", Carson said, a frown spread across his face. the group felt disappointed, it wouldn't be as fun if everyone wasn't there. Carson's frown slowly turned to a smile as he said, "but i do stupid things all the time"

the group erupted into cheers of joy, unbeknownst to them that this was the beginning of what would some call 'an eventful summer'.
