"Honey, you're going to be late for class "Opening my eyes, I saw my mother hitting me gently

"Mom, what is the time?" I asked stretching my hands upward as I yawned

"8.50 a.m., get up quickly and take your bath," she said, flipping the duvet off

" I am not going to school today" I declared as I sat In an upright position
"What!" my mom exclaimed, I could tell by her reaction that she was shocked because I had never taken a day off from school except if I was sick.

"Are you sick honey?" my mom placed her hands on my forehead and neck to check my body temperature, I could tell she was worried.

"Mom, I'm fine, I want to take a break from school today" I chuckled as I removed her hands from my forehead and held it
"Hope you are alright in school? were you bullied? did they do something awful to you?....because it is not normal for you to take a break, I mean you never did even when I asked you to stay at home, you never listened to me and you expect me to believe this "she said worriedly

"Mom, I'm fine seriously" I laughed on seeing my mom's serious face

"Whatever you are thinking just forget it, nothing like that happened, and don't forget, I'm someone who is not easily bullied " I continued still laughing because my mom was exaggerating as a result of the fact I decided not to go to school today.

I decided to take a break off because of what happened yesterday, I wanted to start afresh without thinking about him so taking a break was the best way to settle my emotions.

I was having my siesta when my phone rang
"Bellaaaa " I heard that familiar loud voice that could make a person deaf.

"I miss you so much, your mom told me you couldn't make it because you have a headache " I couldn't believe my mom lied to her, but I was kind of expecting it.

"josh said you should get better quickly"
