The Dragon and the Robin

Chapter 2

Marinette's POV
It's Monday now and I arrived very early to class to tell Miss Bustier the good news. Then sit in the back of the class next to Chloé with Travis and Emylee behind us. Kim and Max next to us and Nino sitting with Alix behind them. In the front Adrien sits next to Lila who clearly is making him feel uncomfortable, and Alya sits behind them alone. Sabrina also sits alone, so they normally are the ones paired up for partner projects. Lila is of course going to lie about the trip being her idea. Miss Bustier notifies the class that we won the class trip to Gotham City, USA. Then Lila just had to open her mouth. "Oh my gosh! You guys can thank me for that! My soulmate must've heard I was in the class and begged his father to let us come. My Damiboo must be so excited to see me after I had to leave. I used to chase him around Wayne manor before we got in trouble for it by his father Bruce Wayne." Lila says loudly before gasping, "Oh my! I broke the promise! I was supposed to keep our relationship a secret! Can I trust you guys not to say anything?" Fake crocodile tears now sliding down her cheeks as the followers turn to glare at us. Adrien winks with Alya at us and pretends to glare at us a few seconds later. I turn around to notice that Emylee is on her phone. "What are you doing?" I ask her quietly. "Texting Bruce everything that Lila just said. And warning him to keep an eye on her during the trip. I also texted my cousin and aunts the information." She replies quietly as well, so only Chloé and I can hear her. "Smart thinking." Chloé says. I nod in agreement with her statement and sign to Emylee 'keep me in the loop. Show me what he says at lunch'. Emylee nods her head before putting her phone away. The class quiets down and Miss Bustier teaches us for the day.

~time skip to lunch~

I drag Chloé, Nino, Alya, Alix, Kim, Max, Emylee, and Travis to the bakery. Adrien has to go to a photo shoot with Liel-la. We grab a pastry and head upstairs to grab some sandwiches. Emylee shows me her conversation with Bruce.

Emylee: Bruce, since I know you don't like people lying about your family. I decided to tell you someone from my class is lying about knowing your youngest son Damian since they were kids. She also said that they were secretly dating and are soulmates. I suggest you make your oldest and second oldest the tour guides to keep tabs on everything she says.

Bruce: You are correct about that. And thank you for the information. I was planning on making them the tour guides anyway. And I can assure you she would need to have gotten stabbed in the left shoulder to be his soulmate.

Emylee: Stabbed? When did this happen?

Bruce: Saturday, why?

Emylee: Uhh, no reason...Bye Bruce , I have to go class is about to start.

Bruce: Bye.

I stare at the chat and chuckle. "Now I really want to ask her if she has a scar on her left shoulder." I say. She giggles and sighs shaking her head. "You know she'll lie about that, and put make up on her shoulder that won't look realistic." Emylee and Chloé say at the same time. They end up laughing afterwards causing everyone to join in. Once lunch is over we head back to the school.

~time skip to 7 o'clock at the Eiffel Tower~ (because school can be boring during hs)

I'm standing at the base of the Eiffel Tower with Chat Noir, Rena Rouge, Carapace, Firefly, Viperion, Ryuko, and Honey Bee. We are just waiting for King Monkey, Bunnyx, Pegasus and Night Fury. Soon they join us as well and apologize for the wait. "Why were you four late?" I ask. "I stopped a mugging." Bunnyx says. "I stopped a kidnapping situation." Pegasus says. "I was with Night Fury helping with a hostage situation." King Monkey says. Night Fury nods and motions for everyone to follow her. We get to a normal looking building. She opens her baton to pull out a watch of some sort. Puts it on and a computer screen pops up. She types in something and a door opens up. She has us follow her into the building and my eyes widen. She sure has been busy with making us this base. I'm glad she is my friend and apart of the team. I wonder if she has a place I can hide the miracle box. Snapping out of my thoughts when we started moving once more I notice that she built a dojo in the building. "Today we strengthen our combat skills and broaden the skills beyond what we know. You'll also be working on teamwork. Now I will assign you a partner to fight against." Night Fury says. We all line up in front of her. "Ladybug and Firefly. Rena Rouge and Honey Bee. Carapace and King Monkey. Viperion and Chat Noir. Bunnyx and Pegasus. Ryuko and I." She says as everyone goes to their partner. Chat is frowning, but quickly gets over it because he realizes that it will be a fair match. "I will switch partners each week. Unfortunately I will be going to Gotham for the next two weeks to seek for help from the Batfamily. So I want you all to continue on your own, and listen to Ladybug." Night Fury says. Ryuko and Night Fury get in their stances to begin along with the rest of us. "Begin!" Night Fury says. We do as told.
