A/N: Thinking of making a part two?

"You cold babe?"

They were outside, walking through a forest in god knows where Kansas, looking for an abandoned saw mill that was firmly eluding them. They'd been walking for almost an hour now, and Sam was freezing his ass off. However, he wasn't going to give in. not after earlier.

"Hey, you're probably gonna want a hoodie." Colby said, packing up a bag for their exploration video.

Sam shook his head.

"Nah, the forecast said it'd be like fifty degrees today."

"In a Kansas winter?" Colby asked, eyebrow raised.

Sam ignored the amused look on his boyfriend's face as he grabbed the proper lens for his camera.

"I'll be fine." He said. "It's not like I've never been cold before."

"Alright, whatever you say." Colby said, walking up behind Sam and wrapping his arms around his waist. Sam leaned back into him and smiled, enjoying the feeling over their bodies pressed together. Of course, that led to a heated half hour makeout session that had them behind schedule for the rest of the day, but it was worth it. So worth it.

"Nope." Sam responded. He had his arms wrapped around himself as they walked, doing his best not to shiver. The weather had not, in fact, gotten to fifty degrees, and now Sam was enjoying a lovely 39 degrees Fahrenheit in a thin t-shirt and ripped jeans. Colby was walking alone next to him in a thick hoodie and beanie, looking quite comfortable. He'd been making little comments at Sam the entire time they'd been out there, and Sam was starting to get a little annoyed. Yes, of course he was cold, but that wasn't Colby's problem.

"You sure?" Colby asked. "You just shivered."

"No I didn't." Sam lied. He tucked his hands under his armpits, fiercely wishing he'd brought a hoodie. "How much longer are we gonna keep looking?" He asked, hating how much annoyance came through in his voice.

"Eh, maybe a couple more hours." Colby said, and when Sam looking over, he saw a very smug look on his face. "I mean, since you're not cold and I'm fine, there's no reason to go home, right?"

Sam didn't say anything, just shrugged. He knew Colby was just teasing, he did it all the time, but he was cold and tired and starting to go numb in a lot of places, and generally just not in the mood. He just tightened his grip on himself and walked on.

"You know, I'm just messing with you, right?" Colby asked after a couple minutes of silently walking through the frigid woods.

"Yep." Sam said, a little shorter than he intended. He walked on a few more paces, then realized Colby wasn't with him. He turned around.

Colby had stopped, and was now standing still, hands in his pockets.

"Sam." He said softly, staring at him with the softest, most affectionate look in his eyes.

"Yeah?" Sam asked.

"Come here."

Sam did. Colby immediately wrapped him in a tight hug.

"Fuck, you are cold." He murmured in Sam's ear, and Sam shivered again, this time for a different reason.

"Mm, s'not that bad." He said with a slight shrug, wrapping his arms tighter around his boyfriend.

"You're fucking freezing, babe." Colby said. "It is that bad. You could get hypothermia or something." He pulled back slightly, just enough that he and Sam were face to face. "You should've listened to me."

"Yeah, well, since when have I ever done that?" Sam asked with a slight laugh, and Colby rolled his eyes at him. Sam pressed their foreheads together, and lightly bumped Colby's nose with his own.

"Aah, get away from me. Your nose is like a fricking icicle!" Colby said, jerking back slightly and scrunching up his face. He took one hand away from Sam's back to rub at his nose, and Sam immediately grabbed his wrist and moved it back to where it had been.

"Don't move, I'm cold." He said, a little poutily, and Colby snorted.

"Oh, so now you're cold." He said, and Sam could practically hear him raise his eyebrows.

"S'not my fault you're so warm." He mumbled, pressing his face into Colby's shoulder.

He felt his boyfriend sigh and tighten his grip on him, rocking him from side to side slightly.

"I love you Sammy." He said, pressing a kiss to the top of Sam's head.

"Love you too." Sam said into his shoulder, smiling.

"We gotta get going though." Colby said, pulling away. Sam whined at the sudden loss of contact and warmth. Colby smirked.

"You'll be fine." He said. "I'll give you my hoodie."

He stripped it off, flashing a bit of his torso as he did so, and handed it to Sam. Sam shook his head.

"Nah man." He said, crossing his arms across his chest. "I didn't bring one so it's my fault, and you're not gonna suffer for it."

Colby rolled his eyes. "You're so stubborn." He said with a slight smile. "I'm not gonna wear it though, so it's you or nothing."

Sam rolled his eyes back.

"Fine." He said, taking the hoodie from Colby. He slipped it on over his t-shirt and immediately felt warmer. Pulling the hood up over his head, he was engulfed in the scent of his boyfriend. He sighed, smiling.

"What?"

Sam shook his head. "Nothing."

Colby raised his eyesbrows but said nothing. He reached out and took Sam's hand, and they started walking back the way they came.

"You do realize I'm gonna complain about being cold the entire way back, right?"

"Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought."

"Guess you'll just have to warm me up when we get back."

"Colby!"

"What?"

"We have like a half hour walk back, you can't just say shit like that."

"Well, maybe we'll just have to take a break on the way back to the car."

"Fuck no, it's way too freaking cold."

"Cock blocker."

"Horn dog."

"Love you Sammy."

"Love you too, Colbs."

"...Have I mentioned that it's freezing?"

"Colby, I swear to god."
